Rowan limped into the room with an obvious frown on his face, a small wince visible and audible with each step. Collapsing into the closest sofa to him, he gently caressed his leg, cursing Henry Deliwitz for leaving him like this. For making him fail his first ever mission and making him unable to participate in any others in the near future.
After Franczeska had taken a shower, she found her dormitory empty of Rhyia. Since she'd had her tour earlier, she decided to roam the headquarters to familiarize herself of the many twists and turns in the corridors. At the end of the hallway, she found the door of the rec room left ajar. With a shrug she entered and made her way toward the pool table. That's when she noticed someone else inside.
Rowan's head darted up at the sound of someone else entering, still alert as ever, purely out of habit. Working alongside the enemy as an undercover tended to leave him like that. He felt his muscles tense, instantly recognizing the face.
"Franczeska Kristonov. I've been looking forward to the day we meet."
He narrowed his eyes but kept his smile, a suspicious looking grin that made him look almost antagonistic. He doubted she knew him, but he knew her. Throughout his years he'd spent undercover she'd been stealing his place as 'best' human agent under 18.

Franczeska arched an eyebrow; puzzlement crossed her face for a moment before she finally regained her composure. She was certain she had never met him before. Or had she? As she tried to recall her past missions, she hoisted herself up the pool table and sat on its edge.
"Why did I get the feeling that I'm the only one around here who doesn't know anybody?" she asked with an amused tone.
Rowan shuffled up the sofa, making his arched back straight to add some composure to himself. Franczeska Kristonov, he still couldn't believe it. Though he wouldn't admit it, she was one of the few people he respected and admired.
"I'm back from a year-long mission going undercover as Henry Deliwitz's assistant. He discovered me and left me for dead. Sorry if I don't sympathize with you."
He was still smiling, enjoying the chance to at least attempt to get a reaction from somebody.

That she had heard of.Franczeska nodded with understanding. "It's a feat you came out alive after what Deliwitz did to you." In fact, it was a miracle. Henry Deliwitz is one of the most powerful mutants that ever existed. She had only seen glimpses of him in the past, but he radiated power so evil she could feel it even in the distance.
Rowan was surprised for a split second to be complimented, but he hid it with a wave of his hand in an attempt to look humble. He'd never even considered it before.
"I suppose I was lucky I lasted that long anyway. It took a whole year for him to discover me."
He thought back to his mission. One whole year undercover as an assistant, and all he survived his attack too. Still, the lasting injury to his leg has kept Rowan from going on any missions anytime soon, so he couldn't act much on it.

Franczeska couldn't help the light smile forming on her lips. She knows a fellow assassin when she sees one. That flitting look on his face was enough for her to know how he had been trained to devoid himself of any emotion."I suppose," she said simply. "I don't know your name yet."
"Linton. Rowan Linton."
He looked her over, the small smile forming on her lips causing one on his own. Either she was starting to get him, or there was something she'd noticed that had caught her attention.

Franczeska jumped off the table with light feet; the sound it made was almost indistinguishable from the wind. She walked over to where Rowan was sitting. Holding out her hand, her face broke into a full smile. A friendly one. "My pleasure to meet you, Agent Linton." The formality in her voice was indisputable.
One of the many things she had learned from her training and education was to give respect to anyone in the agency. And that's exactly what she was doing at the moment.
Rowan got to his feet as quickly as he could, despite the unbearable pain in his leg that always intensified when bent. Managing to keep a straight face despite the pain, he took Franczeka's hand firmly and shook it.
"The pleasure's all mine."
As soon as their hands broke contact he collapsed back into the sofa, though now a lot more informally than before.

Franczeska crossed her arms and smirked behind Rowan's back. "You're one serious man, are you."Although Franczeska understood why, she never felt the need to comply to that attitude when outside of work. She decided to have a life whenever she had the chance.
"Tell me, how long have you been working for Enigma?"
