Nancy Drew Readers discussion

i was kind of upset when nancy stopped hanging out with helen. what do you think>

I think she was a good addition to the stories. Without her and a few other people it kinda seemed like Nancy's only friends were George and Bess. And I also think that three is the perfect size for them and their little group. I don't know though...

I'm reading "Password to Larkspur Lane", which has Helen in it, so I don't miss her right now. I do admit that I like Bess & George better, because they are more interesting, but Helen is a good friend. She has a really friendly personality. :-)

I've read it before... a long while ago. Now that I'm reading it again, it's almost like I'm reading a new story, because there's so much that I don't remember reading. :-P I have an idea how the story ends, but I don't remember the details of it.

well, i shouldnt have said a long time ago....but im the next 1 i'll read will b the clue of the tapping heels.

My younger sister likes the clue of the tapping heels... it seems like a good one! :-)

Do you know how old Helen is? Nancy is 18 if I remember correctly.

I have read ALL OF THE ORIGINAL NANCY DREW BOOKS (1-56). My favorite was The Bungalow Mystery.

Oh I read them all in 6mos. finished them in one day but only when i couold get to the library.

Ha ha, that's okay. :-) It wasn't the best Nancy Drew book, but I still enjoyed it. My favorite so far is the Twisted Candles, and probably the Clue in the Old Album.

Megan, you read the 56 Nancy Drew books in 6 months? That is way awesome! I want to read all of those, too. :-)

Cool, you own quite a lot of Nancy Drew books! :-) My family has some of the early books (1-5, 7 & 8), the Quest of the Missing Map, the 13th pearl, Crocodile Island, etc.

In my opinion, The Shadow Ranch Mystery was a very good one.

I own books 1-56 but sadly at the time I was reading them I only owned half.

Recently I began reading the nancy drew files I looooove them.

Seeing as I only own EIGHT and my library has only SIX (of the good yellow back ones) I think you're pretty lucky ;)

If you go to Books-a-million they are 2.97(exactly..LOL)

my libraries have a pathetic selection 4 the original ones. they have more of girl detective. they like have from the original series about 2 copies of 1, a copy of 2, 4, and a random book. pathetic, pathetic!
