While reading it, I feel like a child. Asking for more tales. When I get bored of a character, I ask my storyteller to tell another one, or a tale of another character that piqued my interest...
This is one such book :)

Yes indeed it is one such book :)
What do you feel about Parwana and Masooma's relation?

(: I think they were even closer than what they think they were. Eventhough Parwana didn't like to be with her sister, she stayed, for those many years...
And Masooma, I think she needed to think about her sister a little more... not just about herself, sooner.

Yes. Parwana suffered from insecurity complex because Masooma also never tried to console or motivate her sister that they both are equals and Masooma enjoyed the attention she got. And the major blow to Parwana was Saboor. Still, whatever she might have in her heart, Parwana took care of Masooma always.
If anyone has reached to the part of Masooma and Parwana's journey to Kabul, Please explain that exactly what happened there in the way? Include spoliers if any.

Please share your views on Nila and Pari's relation, if you have completed with that part of the story. I think their complex relation is worthy of discussion!

it is really hard to understand nila, coz we like her in second and then in next second you want to her , you are right she is confusing character, it right what happen to her was wrong ,but she made it worse, she never tried ,not even with pari and numey is right it is a depressing character
Yes. You are right. I asked because I couldn't just hate her completely. That's why I wanted to know more of her. To be sure of whether to hate her completely or not..
(P.S. Anuj - Have you read "The girl with Dragon Tattoo"?

Markos and Taliha touched my heart!
Very very difficult question. Ok I am trying to gather my thoughts for this.
Now firstly - We can't simply judge it on the basis of simple right and wrong. It doesn't qualify for it and its way too complicated. We need to look into many aspects to know it.
Ok, Now.
1. Parwana has been taking care of Masooma, as being invalid, for years alone. Her brother Nabi gave only monetary help. She could also have run away or married away, leaving Masooma. But she took care of her. She never abandoned her.
2. This process of taking care for her would never have ended in her life. There was no end as Masooma was invalid for lifetime. There was no hope that this taking care process would ever end for Parwana.
3. Leaving Masooma in desert wasn't a thing that came into the mind of Parwana. It was what Masooma wanted.
There were two reasons that why Masooma wanted it -
First, that Parwana could get married to Saboor.
Second, Masooma herself wanted to get away from such life.
So I would qualify the act of Parwana as Mercy Killing i.e. Euthanasia.

Markos and Taliha touched my heart!"
they touched my mind and their story was really long and even not related to the main plot
But where in the book is it written that the main plot of the book is - Pari and Abdullah?
Aashi wrote: "But where in the book is it written that the main plot of the book is - Pari and Abdullah?"it is main plot, even the summary of the book tell you that this book is about pari and abdullah
See the GR description of the book. It nowhere says this is the story of Pari and Abdullah. Everyone is making the same mistake.
aashi in my previous post, what i said was markos and thalia's story is not related to "main plot" and what you replied with ,where it says that pari and abdullah were main plot ,even you figured it, that i am talking about them :) and book starts with them and even end with them ,it is easy they were the main plot

Anuj wrote: "How is the story of Baba jan and Adel relevant to that of Pari and Abdullah?"
It was a satirical mirror to the today's society I felt. A very clear mirror.
I haven't finished yet, so can't compare to Pari and Abdullah as yet.
