Chris Monks | 20 comments My biggest failure is not acknowledging the pain I cause others by my sin. I tend to look at my sin between me & God and unintentionally, sometimes intentionally, ignore the hurt of third parties.

Chris Monks | 20 comments I'll give 2 Chronicles 11 a read today. Thanks, Brian. You can piggyback anytime.

message 3: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy (jeremyhoover) I was in a leadership group one time with men who were learning how to be better Christian leaders. We all had to answer this question and some guys shared some pretty personal things. The last guy to go was very arrogant but looked up to by many. He said, "I don't view them as failures but as opportunities to grow." It shut the discussion down and some of the guys were embarrassed by what they had shared.

One of my biggest failures was relying on myself too much in my previous ministry instead of relying on the power of God.

Chris Monks | 20 comments Jeremy, did you say anything to that guy? I may have. And that would probably be another failure on my part.

message 5: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy (jeremyhoover) It wasn't possible to say anything to him. Fortunately, the sense in the room was that most thought he was self-promoting rather than offering anything substantive.

Beki | 8 comments That is so disheartening when someone shuts down an conversation that is meaningful.
