...and what did you think of it?

I don't know how much this counts as a science book (there was some basic explanation of scientific processes in it) but I read "The Poisoner's Handbook: Murder and the Birth of Forensic Medicine in Jazz Age New York" by Deborah Blum a while back. Not terribly technical but I enjoyed it a lot. I'm glad we don't digest radium or mercury for medication anymore. Makes me wonder if there are any medical processes we'll look back at in 100 years and think "That was almost laughably dangerous. What were they thinking?"

LOL! I worry sometimes because I am disabled and I go through so many different medical procedures. I also take a lot of meds (about 12 or so). I keep waiting to be watching TV and seeing one of those commercials: "If you or a loved one took thisdrughere and spontaneously combusted, you may have a claim against the manufacturer. Please call our law office at 800-555-1212." :-P
