Now I want everyone involved in this group to come up with topics! Whether on poetry, complex issues, simple ones, anything at all. I want you to write them all down(no matter how stupid, nothing to perverted). I'll choose the ones I think are relevant and start them. If you really want to start your topic, then just do it =)

For complex issues...how about LGBT that's alway a great topic, it doesn't even have to be about poltiics. LGBT characters in literature, movies, TV et cetera

L=Lesbian G=Gay B=Bisexual T=Transgender

LGBT is just an easy way of putting it and includes everybody. :)

Oh wow I actually guessed that I just didn't want to say it if I was wrong. Okay sure talking about it is fine, I believe your part of the gay-straight alliance(I read it somewhere). Since you seem to be better assosiated with LGBT issues(meaning I have no idea about Homosexual things), I'm gonna let you start the thread. Remember people hate will not be tolerated! Gay people are exactly that, people.

The book was really good. The movie glossed over a lot of the deeper stuff.

I've got one... what are everyone's thoughts on the war in Darfur? I've been reading articles about it lately, and it's so frustrating that America hasn't stepped in! How can they not, when so many lifes are being taken each day?

I think it's sad that that the so-called swear words, e.g. f--k, d--n, etc. are so overused today that they've lost their impact. The same with superlatives like awesome and super. As a writer I find it difficult to find words that had the impact that these words once had. Sigh.

Ok, I have a very bad idea for a thread,It comes because I keep asking people random questions in my thread, so, here is my crappy idea. It is basically a 'Question of the Day' thread. I would ask a simple or complex question, and then people could debate it for the day, then there would be a new one, and if the wanted to continue the previous days debate, they could make a new thread?

Or that's the idea, feedback please?

Religion - i am a Methodist (Christian)
Politics - ...idk anymore...I WANT Obama to do a good job, but i doubt i would have voted for him in the first place...

lol. i have nothing against agnostics...one of my parents workers is an agnostic...as for politics, i just go for who i think will do their job well

Well, what are your other stances? I know you don't have anything against us, but, we have stuff against you...I'm sure your a good person, but, your religion is not good.

how do you consider it to be not good, because i don't follow ALL of the things in christianity that some extremists think of...

allright...i know we aren't alone out here...and i do believe that we have a God (and only one) out there...but i also am not objective to the idea of how old our world is...i think if God wanted to make whatever over 3 billion years or 2000 years, he could... lots of christians say all this stuff about horrible things for having a divorce, but i think if you made a mistake while marrying someone, you should get a divorce...it is not that much of a horrible thing to make a mistake and fix it thru divorce...what other things should i express my stance on...

The two things I care about most, Gay marriage and abortion, your opinions on these, could change my opinion about you, so speak carefully.

well...i dont think gay marriage was what was originally planned, but if someone is gay then they should choose what they want to do...that is their lifestyle and their choice...no one should persecute them for what they believe...not that i would actually choose that path or anything...i may not like the idea, but i don't despise people with that idea...i know some gay people...they are perfectly fine in my view... with abortion, i don't like the excuse that it is part of the mom's body so she should choose...i wouldn't go out and get an abortion...now, i also see why abortion can be a good thing...some teens who are pregnant wouldn't be able to do anything to help that baby or to take care of that baby...i see why so many people turn to abortion, but i probably would just give the baby up for adoption if it were me and my child...

Does that mean you think both should be legal?
