Mercedes Lackey has a fun series, is the first one. Another series I read, not straight romance, more like fantasy with a bit of romance, was the Mrs. Quent series, is #1. Has a Jane Austen sort of feel to it for sure, especially in the first book.

I have the Mercedes Lackey book on my TBR. I really need to tackle some of them.

Now you've done it. I put that on my audible.com wishlist. I've heard it is light and fun and has a few LOL moments.

My library finally got in and I know Kit★ loves it. It is on her "forever shelf." So, I added it to Mt. TBR.

Absolute hands down favourite of all time for this sub-genre...

Oh, yes, LibraryLass! That is a great series. The mother in that one really pushed my buttons. LOL! I've been meaning to do a re-read via my ears one day.

Could someone please tell me what exactly is fantasy romance....How is it different? Is it just romance happening in some fantasy book??

Others say that "the borderline between fantasy romance and romantic fantasy has essentially ceased to exist, or if it's still there, it's moving back and forth constantly".

I love Lynn Kurland's novels. She writes a fantasy series that has romance in it -
The Nine Kingdoms


She also a time travel series that is wonderful. Not sure if this would be fantasy romance or not. For those interested in this, she does not have any sex in her books, it is pure romance.
