The game is simple: I will start with a question and whoever answers it correctly first asks their question for someone else to answer! Begin!

Sorry I was at dinner, but ray Oyler was also wrong. Al Kaline broke his arm during the season and while he was out Willie Horton, Jim Northrup and Mickey Stanley manned the outfield. When Kaline came back the Tigers were running away with the pennant and Mayo Smith knew there was no way he couldn't play Kaline in the series after being with the team for 16 years, so he had Mickey Stanley start fielding balls at shortstop in practice an used him in all seven games against the cards. He only made two errors.
Longest losing streak to start a season. Baltimore 1988. 21 gamesWho's the only major leaguer to hit a home run before his 20th birthday and after his 40th.
Kaline hit his first at 18, but his 399th and last at 39. When he retired he didn't realize no American League player had ever hit 400 homers and 3000 hits. He said if he had known he would have came back for that last home run.
There are so many great ones that hit won at 20 years old and 40 but I can't think of anyone else. It's a shame because I have a great question
Good one Harold. The Kansas City Royals are in their 45th season this year. In these past 45 seasons the Royals have had two managers and four players wear their uniform who now reside in Cooperstown . How many do you know?
Lance wrote: "Jim Palmer?"I read that in a book by Tim Kurkjian and it has stayed with me. He did it in 1991 in spring training and quit after one start.
One of the managers was a converted 3rd baseman who became a star pitcher in the 1950s. The other manager went in for his managerial success . One of the players was a 300 game winner, and the other an aging Former National league MVP.
Two more answers... one I am sure... one I am reasonably sure. Gaylord Perry is the 300 game winner- Whitey Herzog is one of the managers - in for his managerial achievements
Hey lance, the other two were easier to forget. Bob Lemon managed the Royals 1970-1972, and Orlando Cepeda played his last 33 games for KC in 1974.
okay looks like I am up. Going for a Twins question. 7 players (all positional... no pitchers) played for both championship Twins teams in 1987 and 1991. Name them... Will give credit if you can get five
hey so did joe montana, oops wrong sport. maybe KC isthe dinosaur grave yard?

I didn't get it. I was thinking Nolan Ryan and then realized 500 games would rule out any pitcher.PS That is the 2nd Rusty Staub answer.
Yep. A trade that made no sense. Mets gave away a guy who drove in 100 runs for a washed up starter.
