Perhaps we could each take a turn in creating a Haiku. One person starts with a 5 syllable line; the next person adds a 7 syllable line and the next a 5 syllable line. After that maybe the following person could either start a new Haiku with 5 syllables or just keep adding to the 5-7-5 Haiku style creating one super long poem...not actually a Haiku, I guess, but just a thought. Lily blooms, snow gone

Sunshine warming ground to grow

Green grass all around.

Does my last line have to rhyme? I can't remember.

No...hey...we created a haiku!

Mountain tall, lake below

Clear blue sky, swallow take flight

Sun sinks low, it's night.

Betty...I think we're a team...:>

Night and children dream

Flying amidst stars

Moon doth traverse sky

Dancing with comets

Amid the flying debree

A silver dolphin sails free

Stretching, a new day

Cat sleeps in the mid-day sun

Catching mice can wait.

Wistfully waiting

Tonight is a peaceful night.

Anticipation.

Begin:
Dew on petal soft

Morning now begins anew

Sunbeams wash the air.

The tall man with the black hat

Did not even care

(Begin new Haiku)

Restless night, awake

The moon is full, very bright

And sleep eludes me.

Sunshine of my love

(okay...so it's not original...)

creates dark clouds in your heart

Softly now I cry

Winsome thistle floats

Blown aloft by timeless winds

Drifts to Fairyland.

Many books to read

So little time to finish

Worlds of words, then gone
