This is so bad but I HAVE to buy my books. I want to OWN them. I don't like borrowing books because I want to keep them lol! What about you guys? Do you tend to buy books or borrow them from the library, etc.. ?

I tend to buy my books as well and won't buy ebooks because I enjoy reading the paper books. The only time I will borrow a book from the library is when I'm not sure I will like it, but if I did like the book after reading it I buy it anyway. The only problem with buying books is that I'm running out of space to put them all! lol

@Jennie same here although I own an e-reader :\ I still like having a physical copy, and I run out of space too! My room has a bunch of books scattered around lol.

lol sounds much like me. I also own an e-reader for the sole purpose of borrowing ebooks from the library.

I buy almost all the books I read. Would you believe me if I told you I don't have a library card? Sometimes, though, I do get books from my school library. I didn't do that a lot this past school year.

I only buy my favourite books which I absolutley need in my collection - Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, THG, TMI, TID, and TFIOS otherwise I borrow since I don't have enough money and it's so much easier and if I don't like it I can just return it and I haven't wasted anything

I prefer buying the books I read, but sometimes, when I really want to read a book as soon as I can, I just borrow, since I only go to the bookstore once in a month or so.

Most of the books I've bought lately were for my kindle. I take advantage if a lot of deals. :)

i love havong books diaplayed on my shelf but ive only recently borrowed library books and for me theyre just as addicting but i prefer buying my books ♡ books are my friends!

I have to admit I NEED to buy the book!! For example I read the Fifth Wave however I borrowed it from my library. It's now on my Amazon shopping bag! I like having all the books I've read on my book shelf to look back and be able to think WOW that was an amazing book! I don't like borrow cause then I have to give it back and it's like I'm betraying my book almost....

I like to borrow. My favorite read is looking at a book on whim and taking it home with me. No money spent, no commitments. I seem to always have something checked out of my local library. I do buy a lot of books though. Mostly used for dirt cheap, or if I find a good deal online, or when my favorite authors release new books. I have a lot of books that I've bought and haven't read yet... which I hate because I feel required to read them all immediately and it's no longer by whim.

As much as I'd like to buy and own all the books I read, that is kinda impossible. :( So most of the books I read are either ebooks or borrowed, from library or friends. However, if money were no bound, I'd buy lots of books every month. :D

Mostly buy. I want to have a library in my house that will make Belle jealous, so I try to buy books as much as possible. For this past summer, though, I've been using the library a lot...mostly because I've been averaging a book every two days, and I just don't have the money to buy that many books.

I have a thing about books where I HAVE to own them. Otherwise j just feel bad reading ben then throwing them back to a library or something. I mean I can give them a home in my own personal library! (:
