LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yay I have my own topic now!!! So yeah... my rambles. Most likely there will be a lot of complaining, cause I feel like I complain a lot.

message 2: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) COMPLAININ IS COOL.

message 3: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments So after 2 days of being on competitive team at gymnastics, I now have a never-healing rip on my hand, a nice cut on my finger, a huge rip on my foot, and a sore ankle from walking funny due to my hurt foot. Yup, this team thing sure is working out great...

message 4: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Yikes...I hope you feel better soon! ):

I feel your pain don't worry! I did gymnastics for a while, and dancing

message 6: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Ouch! Hopefully it'll get better. Just takes a little time to adjust.

message 7: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Well today I was being a stupid person and using those cement things at the ends of parking spaces that are like 2 inches wide on top as balance beams and doing jumps on them. Then I fell off and now my butt hurts cause I fell really hard. I'm so smart. At least I didn't get really hurt cause I do NOT want to have to explain to my coach what I was doing...

message 8: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Ouch D:
I hope you feel better again...if your butt hurts you can't really sit well or anything...D:
I did that once XD
Except since I don't do anything anymore I was just trolling my friend and then she tripped me and it did not end well.

message 9: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Ouch. Well, I'll have fun explaining to my coaches tomorrow why my legs won't move! (Because I ran today and I went to fast for not having run in several months which they'll get mad at me about.)

message 10: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Haha I feel fine now, luckily!

message 11: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments Heh. I love those concrete things. I reinjured my ankle slightly today. It's better now, but I'm not sure how I did it exactly. All I did was kayak, and hat's not very difficult on your feet.

message 12: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) o_O A lot of injuries...I hope all you guys feel better ^^

message 13: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments My back is peeling and the back's of my knees are practically purple. Sunburn sucks.

message 14: by Becky, AwesomeOne (new)

Becky (MissFooFoo) | 4249 comments Mod
I was running along a wall once and tripped sideways and hit the concrete ground. i bruised all down my leg and had to explain to my dance teacher what i'd done

message 15: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Yikes...that sounds awful...):

@ Frances: I'm sorry...maybe you should stay indoors or something?

message 16: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments Yeah, like two weeks later and my legs are still peeling. Ughhh

message 17: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Awwwh ): Can you get some kind of cream to help?

message 18: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments I wasn't kidding about that rip never healing... it's still there. And has been there for about 6-7 weeks now, and is actually worse. A lot worse. Like, oozing stuff. And that's really gross.

message 19: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) O__O It's probably infected. You should get treatment?

message 20: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments That's what I'm thinking. But I'm not sure how that happened cause I've been disinfecting it yet and soaking it in epsom salts, which are also supposed to draw out infection. But my parents are convinced that it isn't infected and it just needs more time or something. Yeah... I think it's had plenty of time.

message 21: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Yeah. Is it all swollen? It's been a long time and it'd have healed by now.

message 22: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Sometimes it's swollen. I told my mom I thought it might be infected and she said we'll see how it is in a few days.

message 23: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Your parents really should believe you because it's been a long time and it sounds really nasty. o_O

message 24: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yeah, and it's really annoying cause the stuff is getting all over and it's staining my sheets at night. But I can't do anything about it cause my coach said I can't put bandaids on it except at the gym.

message 25: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Yikes. Does it need to air out or something?

message 26: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yup, that's what she says.

message 27: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) That makes sense. How bad off is it?

message 28: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments It hurts, but it's been hurting for a while now. It'll probably be fine for a few more days.

message 29: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Hopefully! How big is it?
I once got an infected splinter and I ended up stabbing it with a needle and washing it out with soap but it was pretty small...

message 30: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Not too big, maybe a bit smaller than a dime.

message 31: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Oh, okay! And here I was worried that it was some huge gaping thing.

message 32: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Haha nope. But it is now turning yellow around the edges. And yet my parents continue to say that it is completely normal.

message 33: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Oh dear. Yellow is {usually} a sign that it is definitely infected. Do you have any other things you could try? To heal it?

message 34: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Well finally my mom said if it's not better in a couple days we'll go to the doctor. Good. I'm tired of getting yellow stuff on my clothes and stuff.

message 35: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Finally! Phew. I hope they'll fix you up alright.

message 36: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yeah me too! Hopefully if/when it's still like this in a couple days she won't back out...

message 37: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Oh yeah..in the meantime, just take care of yourself as well as you have been. XP I'm not sure if you already have, but I suggest washing it in soap a lot. Try and clean it out.

message 38: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yup, I make sure I wash it.

message 39: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Okay!
After I stabbed my finger re-opened the infected-y wound part, I washed it out with soap and it was immediately better and turned into a normal cut.

message 40: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Hm. Well. I don't think I'm going to stab my hand. XD Plus it's still open, so... yeah.

message 41: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) XD Ah. So. Lots of washing is good.

message 42: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Dad broke down and took me to the doctor. It's minorly infected. Got antibiotic stuff to put on it. No bars until it heals completely. Yays.

message 43: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Thank goodness it wasn't too bad. > < And at least it's small, so it'll heal fast~

message 44: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yeah, hopefully.

message 45: by ange (new)

ange (undercommons) Very hopefully.

message 46: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 1534 comments Yesterday at gym we spent 2 hours doing strength and flexibility testing. I got my left leg splits down for the first time ever, during testing and got max points for them. During strength, I did a wall sit (with thighs flat and feet straight under) for 10 minutes before coach cut me off. Then about 10 minutes later we did block jumps at waist height (feet together the whole time, jump all the way onto block, jump down, repeat) and I did 70, before coach cut me off again. So. I was pretty dang proud of myself for that. Especially considering that my previous wall sit record was 2 minutes. Needless to say, walking is proving to be quite a difficult task today.
