Letitia | 2 comments Hello fellow Austen loyalists! A note of introduction: I am kind of a nomad, currently based out of Seattle, though most of the year I'm in New Jersey. I have recently decided to become very serious about my writing.

Here is my question for you: do you enjoy contemporary-written regency literature? Also, do you enjoy the genre fiction such as Regency Romances, or do you prefer a literary style that mimics Jane Austen's high language and narration? I'd love input as I am figuring out how to make my current projects marketable.

Amanda | 3 comments I really enjoy any kind of historical fiction. I particularily enjoy anything regency.

Mirta Trupp I don't care for contemporary fan fiction, personally. As an indie author, I find that I strive to mimic Austen's style—key word is "strive"—but as a reader, I enjoy a good Regency romance or any fiction based in the Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian eras.
