Abandon by Meg Cabot Rating **** Read on June 13th 2013 Required Author(Meg Cabot)
This novel is essentially a retelling of the story of Persephone. Peirce drowns but then escapes from death. She met John (a death deity who falls in love with her) before she died and then again when she dies. He keeps showing up when she needs help.
I liked the story, it drew me in. The way it was told in flashbacks was a little disconcerting, for a little while I was worried I had picked up a sequel instead of the first book. I would recommend it for older readers.
