This is where you can post links to stories you've written on GoodReads, or are currently writing. Please give a brief description of the piece.
------------------------------------------------------
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

This is my story on GoodReads. It is a fantasy story, a branch-off of a story I have on my desktop. It is about a pixie in a place called the Sky Land who lives in the Fire Forest who tries to find her human friend, and tends to get herself in a lot of trouble whilst doing so. Please enjoy.
-----------------------------------------------------
To those what is written by the writers in this club, I warn you to not expect all authors to finish what they write. It may be really good, but I've learned from personal experience that not all writers write to the end.

Peace!
~Tia

Maxine Dexter (maxinedexter) | 69 comments My stories...ha they're a little long at least one is. They're all crazy sci-fi stuff. Like superheroes.

Dance with the Devil a story that takes place in an apocalyptic future where it's humans vs. mutants ((and there's vampires)). It's about Harli Quin and how she goes to save the world only to become a villain.

Part One: Point Zero http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

Part Two: Infinite Descent http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

Part Three: The Fall http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/4...

Then there's And We'll Meet Again a back story to characters from Dance with the Devil. It's all about Harvey and the lessons he learns from when he decides that revenge is the best answer when his sister is raped then beaten to death.

Well, he's strict, and I think he can see right through your mouth, because even if you're not chewing the gum that is in your mouth...he knows it's in there. He's just...extremely clever. It's annoying.

korrinamoe Have you ever wondered what the youngest age to have a child was? Well, in this piece of work, it talks about Lina Medina. She had a baby when she was younger than you can every imagine.

message 22: by Hiram Alexander (last edited May 01, 2009 09:19AM) (new)

Hiram Alexander (hiramalexander) Okay well mine are somewhat short because I haven't really had the time to extend them but I have a few:

Surrounded by Idiots: This is a comedic play that I'm writing. It's about how this person kidnaps Hiram's brother and friends and their journey to rescue them.
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

Brittany: This is a psychological thriller. Brittany is an average girl but on her sixteenth birthday she faints and awakens a dormant personality in her. Danielle. A struggle for Brittany's body ensues. Will Brittany have the strength enough to drive out Danielle or will Danielle take over?
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

The Lord of the Fire: I had already finished this one but I'm editing it and as I'm doing so, I'm posting it on GoodReads. Fourteen-year-old Hiram isn't prepared to see his school blow up from the result of an exploding volcano, nor is he expecting to be a part of a war between three sides that have been fighting since ancient times.

Hiram isn't quite sure he wants to find out the truth about his friends and about a plot to take over the world but nevertheless he is going to have to make some serious decisions that may influence the world.

Will Hiram and his friends stop the Fire Lord from Awakening or will they fail and watch as Hiram is plunged into a world of darkness?
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

And I have two FanFictions:

Violet December: A Harry Potter FanFiction.Sev doesn't like love. In fact he hates love, that's why he isn't so keen on joining the Love-Note-Exchanging Club, but he is forced to by his best friend Lily.

At the club meetings, they have to write love notes to other people in the club and it just so happens that Sirius is in the club. Sirius. The one guy that Sev is confused about. Suddenly, Sev's sexualitly is put to test and Sev doesn't know if he can remain straight or will be broken to love Sirius.
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/3...

Midnight Letters: A Harry Potter FanFiction.
Hogwarts is no longer safe. Something is preying on the students and faculty there. After a disturbing death found in the Great Hall, the students become cautious as they believe the killer is still on the loose...

message 23: by korrinamoe (new)

korrinamoe I will read them Hiram! I just haven't finished the books yet. I KNEW IT! There is more than the seventh one! I had a dream Mrs. Bramblett (aka my LA teacher) told me the ninth HP book is really good and I should read it. It was a weird dream.

(Tia--The first one I put is real, just I wrote a story about her how I think that she might've felt. I was going to do it for school, but the teacher didn't think it was appropriate for school.))

Tia Todd StJohn (firedancer) | 506 comments Mod
Okay! So far it's really good.

One thing though, in the last paragraph in the first chapter you put "They're" where you should have put "their". Remember, "they're" means "they are" and "their" is possessive. Just a tip...

That is good! I love the way you used the text talk!

Thanks for the grammar help. I have never been much for that sort of stuff.

Tia Todd StJohn (firedancer) | 506 comments Mod
Thanks.

No problem about the grammatical stuff...It's just kind of programmed into me. I correct my friends, my parents, my youth pastor...

It gets sort of annoying.

message 33: by korrinamoe (new)

korrinamoe SAME HERE! It's creepy. I correct people's grammatical errors. It just annoys me for some annoying reason...

Tia Todd StJohn (firedancer) | 506 comments Mod
I know! It's annoying...How come nobody checks those things? I mean, if an 8th grader can tell, then surely the editors could have caught it!

message 37: by Erika, The Big Band Theory. Our thing. Don't steal it. (new)

Erika aslysA | 198 comments Mod
Yeah

Our math textbooks had to be sent back because there were 30 pages missing!

How did they not catch that????

message 38: by Maxine (new)

Maxine Dexter (maxinedexter) | 69 comments Help please. I'm working on this short story for a project and I'm having soo much trouble with it.

Luisa's River
It's a story about a narrator, Cassie, who's having trouble getting to sleep on the night of her friend, Luisa's, disappearance. A few minutes after she sits there, there's a mysterious knock on a door breaking an eerie silence that hung in the area. ((I don't know what else to say))
http://www.goodreads.com/story/show/4...

There's stuff on my website for the short story:
www.welcometopointzero.webs.com

And there's a soundtrack ((OOOO))
http://www.imeem.com/people/ju6cMKA/p...

Thanks love ya!!

P.S. I agree...there is horrible grammar mistakes in text books. It drives me crazy sometimes so I don't read them. Text Books then all the Jumper books have bad grammar to the point where there's just horrendous mistakes. Like they refer to a girl as a "he" in one part. Ugh.

That is terrible!

I hate it when publishers don't catch obvious things like that!

message 40: by korrinamoe (new)

korrinamoe Omg, Harli! I just got to scan through Part One because I have to do this thing for Teacher Appreciation Week (mothers. they always want to give things to teachers, but make the child do it...). But it seems AWESOME SO FAR!

I love looking at the little number that's like two people liked it and so on. I just love that. Sometimes it makes my day.

Have you written any other short stories?

message 47: by Maxine (new)

Maxine Dexter (maxinedexter) | 69 comments No. I like to write longer stories for the most part. They are just more exciting.

message 48: by Erika, The Big Band Theory. Our thing. Don't steal it. (new)

Erika aslysA | 198 comments Mod
Yeah, I do like long stories.

I have never been able to write short stories like yours. I guess that I can't condense all my thoughts into a few paragraphs!

message 49: by korrinamoe (new)

korrinamoe I don't like writing limits at school. It makes me feel like I won't be able to cover everything that I want to write.

Me too!!!!

I hate having to write about a specific topic that I don't even think about normally. I also hate it when I have to do a specific form of writing!
