the end (for now)

Well, I think Caleb was just saying that it wasn't the end of their story. It was just the beginning of a new chapter. I thought that the epilogue was perfect, personally. It was sweet and angsty and I was okay with not receiving much information with what happened after that. What was there was enough :D
Yeah I guess it's just that I always want more! Lol I want to know that they got married and had kids :/ I want to hear it from the righter even though I'm sure they would have.
Well, it would be great to hear if they ever had kids or got married. Hopefully C.J.Roberts would release another novella :) That would make me ecstatic!!! Plus, I'd need another dose of Caleb.
Hopefully she will :) Or I might just be forced to actually coerce her into writing another book. I would have tried to written it myself but when I write, I write like a kindergarten-er. But I just need Caleb.
haha exactly my point ! and it's not the same if you write it yourself than the actual author herself. I'm sure you know what I mean. Now I have to look for a new book :( I need something as dark and erotic like this one :( any recommendations?
*Sorry I took such a long time in replying. I was busy writing a review for Epilogue :)Hmmmm, recommendations. Well there's another book just like this one. It's not as good as the Dark Duet, but then, nothing ever is as good the Dark Duet.
It's called
and I haven't read it yet. I just had someone recommend it to me like right now, but it's from someone who has good taste. Plus the book has had great reviews from people who I trust.
Yeah same here I've heard of the book but have gotten mixed reviews about similarities. But I think I will get a look at it
You should!! And if you want more books that are similar to the Dark Duet, here's a list: http://www.goodreads.com/list/show/27...Hope that will help you :)
Estefani & Miriam - READ Consequences! I promise you - YOU WILL LOVE IT! Yes it is not the DD, but it isn’t asking to be. They are not really the same, except the holding a person captive. But that is where it ends and TONY begins – Trust me READ IT!!!!

I was ok with the end for now . . . and I think CJR left it open for IF she ever wants to dive back in, IMO. I have seen that book around (mentioned above) but haven't really known what it is about. I might have to check it out - I have a few books on my Kindle right now.
Well I really hopes she decided to right another book! What other books do you have in your kindle? :)
I thought it was the perfect ending, I really don't want to read about them getting married/having kids...for some reason, I'd like to just imagine their future.Consequences was the closest thing I could find to DD...but it's much more psychologically messed up! Personally, I liked Truth much more ;)
I thought it was a perfect ending too.I think if it gets dragged out more it will spoil the story.
Leave it where it is!
Xx
I was slightly disappointed with Epilogue. I LOVED getting to spend more time with Caleb and Livie, but I somehow wanted more. I felt like there wasn't a true story arc there. When I got to the last page I kept tapping my kindle tryiing to get to the next page... Not in the way I do when I've just experienced a huge cliffhanger and I can't believe the story just stopped right there, but because I felt unsatisfied. There was no real climax and resolution that comes at the end of a book. I just wanted more. I still gave the book 4 Stars... I think my expectations were set too high though. The Dark Duet was just so good...
Sidenote/mini-rant... I HATED Consequences. I couldn't stop reading it and every single time I forced myself to put it down, I was thinking about it constantly and that is what makes a book good to me... but I hated it. I hated it because I hate Anthony Rawlings. The people that compare him to Caleb have lost their minds. The only thing those two men have in common is the fact that they kidnapped a beautiful young woman and held her hostage as part of a vendetta. Caleb has a soul and can be forgiven for the bad things he did in his life because he has a conscience and a heart. Anthony Rawlings is a cruel, soulless, abusive bastard that cares about nothing but his own desires.
Okay, whew. Sorry about that. Rant over! :D
OMG, I have been so crazy busy lately I haven't been online hardly at all. I read Epilogue in like a day or two and I was so disappointed that the book just ended (see above). Now I realize I'm missing the last 3 chapters plus the epilogue. Amazon never sent an email saying there was a problem with the pre-order version. I guess my frustration over the non-end of Epilogue was unwarranted since I didn't have the full book!
Geez, off to amazon to see if I can get them to fix this.
Did anyone else do this too? Do I need to read the entire book over or start with my missing chapters?
