PepperP0t | 173 comments I generally read and review several books each week. I'll put my favorites of the week here. Feel free to follow my reviews to see them all.

My favorite Genre is Romance in all its off-shoots but definitely lean toward Paranormal & Urban Fantasy more than any other. There will be reviews for other romance categories as well as Thrillers, Mystery and Suspense. You definitely won't find non-fiction or horror reviews here.

PepperP0t | 173 comments Week of June 1-8

Read and reviewed:
Back in Black (SBC Fighters, #5) by Lori Foster The Grimoire of the Lamb (The Iron Druid Chronicles, #0.4) by Kevin Hearne Breaking Point (Troubleshooters, #9) by Suzanne Brockmann Immortal Illusions by Ursula Bauer Bound (Eternal Guardians, #6) by Elisabeth Naughton Savor Me Slowly (Alien Huntress, #3) by Gena Showalter Down London Road (On Dublin Street, #2) by Samantha Young Until Fountain Bridge (On Dublin Street, #1.6) by Samantha Young Ascension (Cherchez Pack, #1) by Lauren Dane

Actually there were several contenders for read of the week but Immortal Illusions pushed all my buttons: Pat’s Thoughts on Immortal Illusions

PepperP0t | 173 comments Week of June 9-15

Read and reviewed: Knight (Unfinished Hero, #1) by Kristen Ashley The Finding (Law of the Lycans, #3) by Nicky Charles Crown of Crystal Flame (Tairen Soul, #5) by C.L. Wilson Kiss of Fire (Dragonfire, #1) by Deborah Cooke Kiss of Fury (Dragonfire, #2) by Deborah Cooke

It was really hard to choose between two really great reads but: Knight barely beat out The Finding but it did, so... Pat’s Thoughts on Knight

June 23-29 I read and reviewed:
Twisted (Intertwined, #3) by Gena Showalter Duncan (Vampires in America, #5) by D.B. Reynolds Tangled (Tangled, #1) by Emma Chase Born of Ice (The League, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon In Other Worlds (Were-Hunter, #0.5; Dark-Hunter, #1.5; The League, #3.5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Fire and Rain (Cherchez Pack, #2) by Lauren Dane Eternally Yours (Immortal Beloved, #3) by Cate Tiernan

with very honorable mention to both Kenyon books as all 3 rated 5stars from me.

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

PepperP0t | 173 comments This busy week had a mixed bag of reads but I conquered:

Creed (Unfinished Hero, #2) by Kristen Ashley Short Rides (Rough Riders, #14.5) by Lorelei James Frost Burned (Mercy Thompson, #7) by Patricia Briggs The Innocent (Will Robie, #1) by David Baldacci Born of Shadows (The League, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon

Hands down my read of the week was: Born of Shadows (The League, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon -- because it made me giddy. A book that makes you giddy needs to be a favorite of some kind.

You do good at that. Me, not so much. But you knew that already and love me despite all my literary faults. Haha!

Haha! I'm trying to stick to it, but you know how that goes. :D

message 30: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 173 comments I actually had a couple of contenders for most arduous read of the week...but we don't talk about that.

July 15 - 20 reads were:
Monster (Impossible, #1) by Julia Sykes Blood Kin (The Half-Light City, #2) by M.J. Scott Serpent's Kiss (Elder Races, #3) by Thea Harrison True Colors (Elder Races #3.5) by Thea Harrison Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4) by Thea Harrison Tiger Magic (Shifters Unbound, #5) by Jennifer Ashley Vengeance Born (The Light Blade, #1) by Kylie Griffin .

Surprisingly I was still able to determine a read of the week. I wanted it to have more competition but sadly it did not, but that does not take away from it being a great read.

Oracle's Moon (Elder Races, #4) by Thea Harrison -- Pat’s thoughts on Oracle's Moon

message 31: by Vaughn (new)

Vaughn | 24 comments Seems like Oracle's Moon and Vengeance Born are the winners this week.

message 32: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 173 comments tiger's magic was pretty good.

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

Aw, looks like a lot of these reads didn't pan out for you. :(

*snicker* Yeah, no chance of that happening.

message 36: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 173 comments Had a DNF this week (couldn't connect with story or characters) and a couple that were actually great reads.

July 21 thru July 27 reads
Bound to Seduction (Firebrand #1) by Elisabeth Naughton Kaleb (Alluring Indulgence, #1) by Nicole Edwards Nauti and Wild (Nauti, #6; Wild Riders, #4) by Lora Leigh Forged in Steele (KGI, #7) by Maya Banks The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley Shifter In Ascent (Louisiana Shifters, #1) by Vivian K. Wood Voices by Brad Mann

My favorite read this week was: The Gamble (Colorado Mountain, #1) by Kristen Ashley . It was difficult to put down once I started. Pat's thoughts on The Gamble

message 37: by Vaughn (new)

Vaughn | 24 comments I liked Forged in Steel and The Gamble the best. Seem like something I'd enjoy.

message 38: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 173 comments I can only think of one Kristen Ashley that I didn't care for very much and I've recommended KGI to you a couple of times. Also despite the few typos I think you'd really enjoy Shifter in Ascent - that one seems right up your alley.

message 39: by Vaughn (new)

Vaughn | 24 comments The KGI is on my next-up and I'll get to it very soon. It's being moved up. I'm definitely thinking on Ashley and Shifter in Acent.

PepperP0t | 173 comments July 28 thru August 3

Absolutely one of my best reading weeks ever! I wanted to give at least 5-5stars!
Gone Country (Rough Riders, #14) by Lorelei James Fallen Angel of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #3) by John Corwin Dread Nemesis of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #4) by John Corwin Doing It Wild (Doing It, #1) by Clarissa Wild Slave to Passion (Firebrand, #2) by Elisabeth Naughton Shifter's Dream (Louisiana Shifters, #1.5) by Vivian K. Wood Shifter's Legacy (Louisiana Shifters, #2) by Vivian K. Wood [] Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Sweet Dreams (Colorado Mountain, #2) by Kristen Ashley

With so many great choices this week it is definitely not easy to select just one as my favorite read of the week. That being said: Dread Nemesis of Mine (Overworld Chronicles, #4) by John Corwin was a fabulous YA read and Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning was a great adult read.

PepperP0t | 173 comments I usually read more than one at a time. i'll repost it i'm having computer fun again!

also this week there were 3 with less than 150pages

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Good week, Pat!! I can't believe you read NINE books and still felt like you hadn't read much this week. LOL

message 50: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 173 comments They were so good they felt effortless and there were a couple of shorts. It was really a great reading week (I don't know when I've read so many very good to great books in a row) several of them really need a larger audience - they are hidden gems.
