Whew.......!
I'm a little late, but here it is.
Who has read The Guns of Avalon?

The story continues with Corwin and his tale.
We join him saying "Good-bye, Butterfly," a little sentimental for Corwin.

I was trying something different than the last book, but forgot to set up the chapters. Oops.
Let me know if you prefer a non-spoiler thread.

Angelof Within the first few pages, we already see a lot of interesting new things.

1. We finally see shadow walking to another shadow other than Earth.

2. We encounter the beginnings of the bigger problem aside from the Amber politics. It sort of reminds me of Game of Thrones, where amidst all the political intrigue, there's a serious problem brewing elsewhere.

3. If I'm not mistaken, this is the first time we Corwin’s blade, the Grayswandir, in action to actually kill something. Interesting weapon.

Yes, to all three! Very nice observations, Angelof.
:)

The description of shadow walking is further described as alternate universes.

They are having their own "game of thrones". I hadn't finished GRRM's books to know much more.

His sword does begin to play a role and we will find out more about it in future books.

Avalon enters the scenes along with a certain knight.
I found it interesting that Corwin described himself as chickenhearted....
as the reason why he stops to help the knight.

Andreas I'm just beginning to read this.

Though it's the second book in the series, it kind of starts where the first book started:
We as well as Corwin don't know everything about the world. He's no superman any more and has to rebuild his strength.
I really like the Arthurian setting with Avalon and Lancelot. I wonder if the named Ganelon is a reference to the Song of Roland's Ganelon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Song...

Pickle | 6 comments Ive just finished chapter 5. Am i right in saying that corwin was on earth for centuries but forgot this when he lost his memory?

Twice...
;)

Well.....the second time he forgot how much time he was on our earth.
The first time, he forgot who he was, a Prince of Amber.

You never can tell what information Roger Zelazny might add from Earth.

"Where is this Cabra place you hie from?"
"Far to the east, across the waters," I said. "Very far. It is an island kingdom."
