Inspiration Room discussion

Ok I'm a 12 year old girl and I want to start writing everyday but i'm a new writer and can't think of a story idea!!! What should I do? and if you have any suggestions to new writers I would be glad to take them!

think of your favorite genre
then kind of person
then who they would interact with
then a major problem they are faced with
then everything will fill itself in

for example:
i liked stories with kind of a moral like Sarah Dessen books, idk if you have read any.
i though of an angry depressed chick
then i thought that it would be funny to make her best friends with guys and one preppy chick
then i decided her issue would be that she is angry because her biyfriend and best friend were killed in an accident and that a new was totally obsessed with her no matter what she did to him.

and thus i have my story When Raindrops Fall but its not done. still lol

Or just start writing whatever comes to mind, and then go with it. That's what I did with Soulfire.
