A simple eatery outside the academy

Sydney walked in, hanging her pink coat across the back of her chair. She ordered a cup of tea and pulled out her clipboard, analyzing the names as if that would tell her how well these kids danced.

Will slipped his hands into his jean pockets as he lazily strolled into the cafe. It was almost empty, and a bit .. Sad looking. He sat down on the nearest chair as he debated what to order.

The perky young waitress walked over, setting the tea in front of Sydney so it sloshed over the sides, dirtying her gray sweater. She walked past without noticing, not paying any attention until she got to Will, smiling flirtatiously. "What can I get you?"

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Will glanced up at the waitress, a small smirk residing on his face. "I don't know, what do you have?" He's tone was relaxed and playful, while he spoke. Unconsciencly he ran a stray hand through his hair.

She leaned over, her large, likely fake breasts showing in her low v-neck. "Whatever you want," she whispered enticingly as Sydney groaned a table over, standing and staring at the waitress a moment before walking to the counter and reaching behind it, grabbing a napkin and attempting to erase the earl gray from her sweater.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Will chuckled, shrugging nonchalantly. "Surprise me." He winked at the waitress and leaned back in his chair. Noticing the girl struggling with cleaning off her sweater, he slid out of his chair and approached her. "Do you need any help?" He offered in a low, friendly voice. He didn't want to come off as a creep.

She frowned. "Oh gee no thanks...I believe you were the problem in the first place...Miss Cleavage couldn't wait to talk to you," she furiously dabbed at the stain and finally gave up, internally cursing before looking up and meeting his gorgeous eyes. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude," her voice quieted, and became sweet. "I..gosh I apologize," she looked back down at the stain just below her breast, sighing.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Will chuckled at the girl, surprised by how unbelievably adorable she was being. "It doesn't look bad at all.." His eyes flickered down to the stain, but quickly returned to her face. "Mrs. Cleavage? It's probably all fake anyway." He slipped his hands back into the safety of his pockets and rocked slowly back and forth. A small smile rested neatly on his face throughout this whole ordeal.

She realized how attractive he was, though her smile remained kind and polite. "I shouldn't have said that. It was rude of me." she looked up at him, being just under a foot shorter than him, as she was very petite. "I'm sorry..what was your name?"

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Will shrugged and shifted his weight to his right foot. "Will. And what about you?" He asked politely, taking the moment to get a look at her. She was pretty, in a natural kind of way. He liked that. He also liked how she had to tilt her head up to look at him.

"Sydney," she said, punctuating her name with a gentle smile as she thought innerly how similar he looked to Ethan. She quickly pushed that away, her eyes on his.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

"What a coincidence.. Sydney Australia.. Your name is Sydney.." Will shook his head, and set it in his hands. Wow that was stupid. He looked back up at her with an embarrassed look. "You have a very pretty name." He winked at her, his normal grin returning to his face.

She smiled, laughing quietly. "Thank you. My mother got her dancing start in Sydney, so she named me after the city," she grinned, leaning against the counter.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Will raised an eyebrow at the mention of dancing. Was everyone a dancer here? It seemed that way. "A dancer? Are you any good?" Will questioned, folding his arms over his defined chest.

She blushed, despite fighting to control the heat coming to her cheeks. "I've been in the Royal Ballet Company since I was four. I'm producing and choreographing my first show this year," she smiled.

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

Wills jaw dropped a bit, as his eyes went wide. "That's amazing! Wow, Congradulations!" He freaked out for a bit, before slowly gaining his composure. With a small movement, he set his hand on her shoulder as he talked.

She laughed lightly. "Thank you. It isn't anything big. Mr. Karamakov is producing, and he's the only reason it's getting a big rep." she shrugged, not noticing his hand.

The waitress walked out with a sandwich basket for him, and leaned over the counter with it, her cleavage nearly tumbling out of her apron as she touched his shoulder.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

Well turned to the approaching waitress and let his hand slid off Sydney's shoulder. He tried his hardest not to focus on her boobs, and let me tell you, it was hard. Didn't girls know how distracting they were? Will all his willpower he kept his attention on her face. "Thank you." He gave her a genuine smile and quickly turned to Sydney. "Will you sit with me?" With a small grin, he nudged her playfully.

She smiled and nodded, eyeing the waitress before picking up her tea and walking to his table, sitting across from him and sipping from the blue, floral cup.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

"So, tell me more about yourself." Will asked this as he slid into his chair. He leaned forward slightly, as if showing that his attention was on her.

She sighed, blowing out a puff of air. "Um...what would you like to know?" she asked, putting her tea down and fixing her necklace.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

"Everything." Will winked at her, smirking slightly. He took a small bit of his sandwich and then paused looking up at her. "Why do you dance?" It was a simple, yet not so simple question. He truly wished to learn more about her.

She bit her lip, looking out the rainy window and thinking a moment before turning back. "Umm...well. My mom died when I was four. Mr. Karamakov took me in and taught me. It was all I ever knew..all I ever did. And it was all I had left of her,"

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Will paused, glancing up at her. He thought about her answer for awhile before slowly speaking up. "You know, that's one good reason to dance." Running his hand through his hair, he nodded nonchalantly as if confirming his responce.

She smiled, sipping her tea again, her right hand in her lap. "So, why do you dance?"

message 27: by [deleted user] (new)

He shrugged, still unsure why he did dance. "I think I dance because I love the freedom of it. You are not restricted by rules or other stuff . It's just you out there, expressing yourself. " he paused, then took a bit of his sandwich. Hopefully she.understood what he meant.

She nodded in agreement, smiling. "You seem to know what you're talking about, Will" she laughed.

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

Will chuckled, tapping his fingers against the table. "If only that was true." Silently he shifted another bite of the sandwich into his mouth.

She watched him silently for a moment. "I think you know more than you're letting on," she said after another sip of tea, her eyes on his face.

message 31: by [deleted user] (new)

Will returned her gaze, raising his eyebrows slightly. "I like you , Sydney, in Sydney Austrailia." He turned his eyes to look at the window. A small idea erupted into his mind. Maybe now would be a good time for a little ride?

message 32: by KBelle (new)

KBelle | 1262 comments Mod
She laughed, leaning back and folding her neat pink frock coat over lap. "What?"

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

"I want to take you on a little ride.." He winked mysteriously at her and quickly slid out some money to pay for both their orders. Silently he slid out of his seat and held out his hand to her, as if to pull her along like little children might.

She looked at his hand then up at him in indecision. She didn't want to be rude, yet didn't want to lead him on when she had no interest. Well, some interest. She took his hand, sloping on her coat and retrieving get pretty floral bag.

As they walked out of the cafe, Will waved at the waitress while sending a little smile in her direction. Even if she was a slut, she had been nice. Swiftly after that Will led Sydney to his motorcycle.. Or should we say his baby. It was a slightly older motorcycle, but it had been his life savings. He reached for the helmet hanging from the handle and offered it to Sydney.

message 36: by KBelle (new)

KBelle | 1262 comments Mod
She looked at it hesitantly, biting her lip, as if it were drugs or something dangerous. Out would inevitably ruin her hair, and motorcycles were dangerous and unreasonable

((hey have you claimed an original character yet?))

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Will watched her contemplate the motorcycle. He never had been able to understand people who were weary of them. Life's short, shouldn't you buoy the simple pleasures of it like the wind through your hair and the rush of it all? "I'll be careful, I promise." He assured her, as he bleats for her choice.

(Not yet! I will do that now though.)

message 38: by KBelle (new)

KBelle | 1262 comments Mod
She sighed, putting the helmet on and giving in, looking over at him. "Alright"she agreed, feeling like this was a bad decision. She knew Mr. Karamakov and Ethan would kill her if they knew.

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

Will smiled broadly at her as he climbed into the bike. "You can hold into me." He suggested, with a small smirk on his face. Wills hands went to the bars and he waited for her climb on.

(So my parents just surprised me with a three week trip?!?! I'm leaving in ten minutes and so.. I won't be on for three weeks... You can move your character!)
