Hi Jackson!
I love books, but my first love will always be Eve and Roarke from J.D. Robb's In Death series. I own every book in the series (38? now I think) both in ebook and HB/PB form. I've re-read them many times. Every time I open an In Death novel it's like being back with old friends.
I'm a huge fan of Kate Daniels by Ilona Andrews - Ilona and Gordon are so amazing at world-building and snappy dialogue.
Of my own writing.... A little tougher. I have a soft spot for Aurelia from Fractured Moon, but I identify most with Cordelia from Duality. Every book I've written has come from an inner emotional place, and so there is a part of me in every character.

I should clarify and say that I identify with all my characters on some level, but it is often easier for me to get in the mind of a female versus my male characters.

The elemental powers, Sara? Or the filtering light and darkness?
Either way - Empathy is a gift and curse. Feeling what another feels, or sensing what lies under their surface is difficult. Especially knowing you can't do much to help, that they have to choose for themselves.
As for the elemental powers - I think it would be pretty freaking awesome to be able to do what Cordelia does at the end of Duality - but also terrifying. There would be a huge pressure knowing what you can do to someone if you set your mind to it. "With great power comes great responsibility" ;)

Hi Elizabeth :) You're not late. Welcome!
I am an introvert by nature, so social media allows me to open up and chat a little more than I would in real life with people I don't know. I've met some amazing friends as a result. However, there is also more drama, more people pretending to be someone other than what they seem, and let's not even talk about the marketing aspect of writing/social media.
I have a love/hate relationship with social media :) I enjoy interacting with fans, friends, and family, but I wish I could get away from unnecessary strife that isn't my business though sometimes feels like my business, you know? Mob mentality.
