Potterheads Unite! discussion

This is the most forbidding and dangerous of all the passages, it starts in a rotting trapdoor at the back of Hogwarts and continue under the grounds to the Forbidden Forest, it is roughly hollowed out, has a high ceiling but is earthen all throughout it.
No one, teacher or student,has ventured into it in memory, but only centaurs are rumored to explore it,
Firenze has been said to be seen in it but only when the Forest centaurs are not....

Genevieve walked down into the Potions classroom and inspected the room, looking by the cabinets Gen tripped over a uneven part of the floor, gasping she pulled at it and the a stone door swung open...

Mel tried to hold in a laugh, Gen's face was priceless.

John chuckled looking around "here we are than." John whispered to himself so no one else could hear.

She turned and jumped "Mel!!! you freaked the guts out of me!" she turned and flourished a hand at the door "Check this out!"

"Oh my god!" Her hand over her mouth. "It's so creepy and mesmerizing at the same time!"

"creepy, mesmerizing and-" Gen jumped in and they heard a thump and a muffled scream "Awesome! c'mon John, Mel, there's a open trapdoor infront of the door so be careful!"

Mel closed her eyes and jumped, she screamed as she slid down the passage.

"Very well." John jumped down after Mel and landed near her.

Genevieve grinned and whispered "Lumos" as Mel sat up. She cupped her hands around her mouth and said "Slide down John! its cool in here" "-but creepy" Mel added "Well yes I just feel a little giddy this worked" Gen said effervescent
((I didn't know John had posted so sorry 'bout any confusion))

Mel screeched as John almost landed on top of her. Melania got up and brushed herself off. She then raised her head to see the wonders she has never experienced.

"This is interesting." John said and looked around lighting his wand.

Mel whipped out her wand and said, "Lumos." The underground passage lit up brighter, as her wand and Gen's wand continued to revel light.

-The passage was tall and earthen. Gen knelt down searching the ground she gasped "Hoof-marks! the centaurs must come down here"

((We should complete steps to continue toward the antidote. We have to work to get it))

"I believe there are some types of carvings on the walls." John said putting his wand up to the wall.

Genevieve gazed at the wall, the ghostly light from her wand illuminating the wall "Where?" she asked puzzled. A slamming sound drew there attention and they were drenched in almost total darkness "Oh, crap." Genevieve said "We're-" she trailed off claustrophobia growing....

Mel looked down feeling the ground, she pointed her wand toward the ground to better see the prints. "So cool." She said in awe as she pointed her wand toward the wall to see the markings. "What do you think they are of?"

Mel turned her head and looked toward the pitch black darkness, wondering what made the sound. She walked forward her wand held in front of her.

"I think there warning wait, I've seen some of these but I can't read much of them." John said focused on them.

"Who is there?" asked a menacing but familiar voice. Gen stifled a shriek but a silver-haired centaur walked into the light of the Lumos spell....
((Gah, I'm really sorry to leave now at the most exciting part of the RPing but I've got to go!! sorry again :( ))

"Hello," Mel said skeptical of the situation. "We don't mean harm, we are just-" the centaur cut her off, "why are you here?" Mel spoke in John's mind, 'you tell him, I don't know if we should tell him.'

"There was once a prophecy a rumor if you will of a potion an cure to any poison we are her to find that cure to see if it exists." John replied looking at Mel.

She held her breath, "you are not allowed down here, it is forbidden. No matter, if it is for a good cause, continue." With that he trotted away back where he came from. Mel let out the breath she was holding and looked at John relived.

John breathed a sigh of relief and smiled at Mel "come on let's get a move on." John said and smiled.

"Ok."John led the way walking slowly, careful not to miss any important detail. Melania followed wand extended, helping her see what she might fall or scream over.

"We have a slight problem." John said looking down and the cracks in the floor.

She looked down, "god here it comes."

"Devils snare." John said as the vines started wrapping around all of them.

"Remember relax." Mel said as she sat down, waiting for the vines to overcome her. She closed her eyes and thought good memories.

"I'll try but the other way is rather good too." John said relaxing thinking back to good times.

The dark, thick vines wrapped around their torso's and then shoulders, gripping tight. When a vine as thick as her thigh covered her mouth, she grunted trying to move her hands to rip off the vine from over top of her mouth. her arms were strained by the vine. Mel continued to fiddle with the vine closest to her hand.

John reached his wand and said with his last breath "Lumos Solem." The wand produced a beam of light. And the vines unraveled "lets go." John said and freed Mel and they ran off.

"Thanks." Mel said breathing hard. They ran toward the dark, unsure of their actions. Something or someone popped out of the dark, "what are you doing down here?" The voice sounded higher, Mel froze and thought maybe it was Artemis. The unknown person stood in the dark, hiding their identity waiting for an answer.

The familiar voice came out of her spot, the light off of John's wand reveled a woman mid-age with a scar on her throat floating in the air. As she was illuminated Mel said, "you are the ghost that haunts the Hufflepuff common room. What are you doing down here?" She asked.
The ghost replied, "a better question, what are you doing here?" The woman asked, a motherly look on her face.
"As John said, we are here to get an antidote," Mel replied.
The ghost stepped forward, "I know that," she said annoyance filled in her voice, "you are going the wrong way, you need to go down a floor, using devils snare."
"Oh," Melania said, "thank you."
"That is where most people go wrong. If you continue down this path, you will run into the centaurs. They don't like to be disturbed." She said her eyes wide inferring.

There came footsteps from behind them. Melania turned to see Artemis sprinting down the tunnel, looking livid.
"Why didn't you wait for me?" she demanded. "How come you didn't think that I might want to help?" She paused. "Lani, this is the right place, isn't it?"

"First off, you already have a ton to worry about, especially with Thorne, we didn't want to add another thing for the list!" Mel said strongly. "Yes this is the right place. We have to go down a floor, using Devils Snare." She replied.
((John is going to be back in 45 minutes and Ro said to finish it for her. You do Ro and Ill do John.))

Artemis sighed.
"I have a ton to worry about BECAUSE of this...why wouldn't I want to fix it?" she said despairingly. "Honestly, guys!"
The group proceeded down the tunnel. Artemis tried to give Genivieve a reassuring smile- the little girl was looking anxious.
Artemis turned to look at the tunnel behind them and bit her lip. She pointed to a puddle with her wand.
"Paccumus," she whispered. One of her water-doves rose from the water, and began flying around the puddle. Artemis smiled at it, and kept walking, turning puddles into birds as she went. Soon there was a trail of birds behind them.
"Is that for when we go back?" Gen asked.
"Oh...yes," Artemis said quickly, knowing that in truth she was making sure they could be found...just in case someone went looking for them.

She turned around and looked at Artemis and Gen, "we don't come back though here. The ghost of the Hufflepuff

Common room said we out of the forbidden forest toward the castle." Mel looked at John for reassurance.
"Yes, according to the prophecy we don't have to come back, just go there and get out." John said looking at Artemis.
They continued down the passage occasionally jumping over a raised concrete step and ducking down to make it through. Suddenly the passage combined into a small box, Mel and the group got on their hands and knees, crawling for an extended period of time. Melania looked at Gen who's face looked pale. "You doing alright? I know it is cramped."

((Sorry I accidentally hit post....))

Artemis shrugged.
"It's good to have a trail." She crawled through the small tunnel behind the others.
"Lumos!"
The tunnel brightened. Artemis held her breath as they crawled, the walls seeming to get narrower as they went...then, finally, John clambered out. Then Melania. Artemis climbed out of the end of the tunnel, and helped Gen up.

Mel looked at Gen, "it is ok, it's over." Mel said touching her shoulder. "Lumos," her wand illuminated the next couple feet. Melania walked, John in the lead and Artemis in the rear. She made her footprints smaller and fell in back with Artemis. "Look, I am sorry. I was just looking out for you." Melania decided not to add the part about bringing Henry along.

(Whoa whoa whoa. You brought HENRY along?)

((No she was going to say, she also didn't want to tell you because you might hiring him along.))
