This book is set in the future where everyone lives within these walls because it's dangerous and whatnot outside. Space is cramped and the poor are miserable and wet (I remember there was water and maybe floods...?). So the main character is this poor boy. There's this sort of gaming tournament thing where 2 people in a team ride this motorbike thingy in space(it's all virtual). The boy somehow gets to compete and there he meets this girl who rocks at this game thingy. Oh, and the winner gets this kick-ass apartment and a shitton of cash. So he competes and weird things happen but eventually he and the girl wins. They somehow manage to find out that beyond the wall is completely safe and that the rich tricked everyone into moving in the walls so that they can live outside alone. I pretty sure the book left off with that cliffhanger.
