Hunter entered the basement with Leah behind him and could see the change in Vee. She wasn't smiling and acting all sappy anymore, she was cold. Laying on the floor her legs crossed up on a box she was humming, but her face expression wasn't thoughtful, it looks like she doesn't give a damn about a thing. Her hair was down and she was wearing tight leather shorts with the same strapless white top. "Okay Tigress, what happened?" He said approaching her.

Vee looked up at him and her eyes dropped on Leah. Was she taunting her on purpose?! "Was a bit angry wasn't eye?" Hunter didn't reply with some comeback. "Jax and I are over my friends. But still I kinda broke my record in dating so it's not all bad" she was hurt but her wall was up and she's numbed her emotions, however she knew Hunter will see right through her.

Hunter gaped then closed his mouth and sat next to her. "What did he do" not sounding angry, but fatal.

"Oh he didn't do anything" she grinned. "He's in love with the competition" nodding towards Leah she went back to Humming. She knew this will cause bumps in Jax and Leah's friendship and she was happy to do that. Because now, she's on crazy mode.

Lea so taken in by the muscled back of Hunter that it took her a full minute to realize that Vee said something, something important. She looked at Vee and asked her in a polite tone, "Can you please repeat what you just said? I wasn't paying attention." She guiltily admitted. This was not all at her, with Jax it was different. Her relationship with Jax was pure friendship and camaraderie. She sighed and as she did so, her other self let her hear what Vee just said a while ago.

She was having a hard time digesting the face what herself was telling her. She looked at Vee in alarm. "You must be mistaken. I love him but in a totally different way and from what I can tell he's halfway in love with you."

"Well, he blurted out "I love Leah" in the middle of a conversation. Don't think so" said Vee twirling a strand of hair looking indifferent. "You can ask him if you'd like. But enough about me, did you nail her yet?" She winked at Hunter who's been silent the whole time.

Hunter stood up "Shut up Vee, Leah, go talk to him or I swear to god I'll go break each bone in his body" He said his hands in fists.

"No it's over buddy, I don't want her to talk to him, unless it's about them of course. But I would like to see you kick his ass though"

Jax was so drunk when he neared the basement he heard the voices of Hunter, Vee and Lea. It was really hard to go down the stairs if you can't even see the steps o he blindly stepped down on one of the steps and he must have stepped on stumbling on it.

Lea was about to punch Vee if it wasn't for someone who came crashing down the stairs. When it came to a full stop on the ground she gaped as she saw Jax. She immediately went to him.

Jax found himself horizontal where he could see 3 pairs of feet. He smiled without reason as he tried to sit up and failed as he felt the pain on his side. He looked around to see Lea and he said, "I'm sorry if I didn't tell this to you years ago but I love you more than a brother but right now I'm falling in love with someone else." He smiled at before passing out.

Shock. Lea gasped as she heard what Jax was saying but she ignore that as she saw blood dripping from his face. She gently wiped it away with her handkerchief and she silently said to Vee, "See? He's saying he's falling in love with someone else and I suppose it's you." She carefully lifted Jax's head to her lap, wiping away the sweat and blood from his forehead.

Vee went silent, she didn't move an inch as she saw him roll down the stairs. She never thought she'd ever see Jax so.. So not in control. She wanted to go over and take his face to her chest and lull him to sleep but she was frozen, like she's watching from outside. Falling in love with her? His words kept echoing in her head.

Hunter got to Jax and Leah and cast some spell to stop the bleeding. It was useless kicking his ass now. He didn't say anything to Vee, because he knew very well that she was crying in her own way.

"Take him to his room. Please" she whispered to both of them. She can't see him like that vulnerable and a mess, especially if she cased it. Not in front of two others as well. Still frozen in place she watched as Leah tends to him.

Lea shook her head, "I don't think we should move him yet." She said in a whisper as she brushed back a lock o Jax's hair from his forehead with that she gently laid his head on the floor and faced Vee with a glare. "Do you see what you have done? You made him so drunk that he fell the stairs," she did not shout because it would only awaken Jax but in reality she wanted to slap Vee for being so ignorant for the feelings of Jax.

She faced Hunter, "And don't you hurt a hair on his head or you'll really know how bad I am." She let her other self show in her eyes as the temperature in the room dropped a few degrees. "As for you," turning to Vee. "Try to hear what he was saying before he passed out and if you ever hurt him again, I swear I'll hurt you even more." With that she left.

Jax was so disoriented and because of his magic he could heal himself in a fast rate and what he heard from Lea was so astonishing that he did not move a bit. He let himself go limp because he really wanted to hear what Vee or Hunter is going to say and he couldn't do that if he suddenly sat up so he stayed put and waited with abated breath.

Vee was still frozen but she snarled under her breath loudly enough so Leah could hear. "Look pretty face, you don't scare me. You love Jax as a brother, good for you. But he has feelings for you even if he's falling for me." Her voice was angry, she wasn't angry though, she was jealous. "So you'd better shut about me being responsible or..." She was cut by Leah leaving the room which annoyed her more.

"You shut up before you say or do something stupid" pointing at Vee who was wearing such a calm expression that didn't match her tone. "I'm not gonna kick his but, he already did a pretty good job himself" he continued and say back next to Vee. He knew that Jax was conscious now but played along.

Jax was about to open his eyes but he was waiting for something that would say Vee really felt something fro him. He felt Lea leave and he sighed in relief and he mentally cursed himself for doing such a thing since it would only give him away. He sighed again and he sat up since it was no use.

He stood up and even though his whole body was hurting and for the fact he is still drunk he faced Hunter with a serious face, not looking at Vee. "I think I should leave the mansion. I'm not saying that I resign for being your second-in-command but I need a place for myself."

Hunter looked at him, was he serious? Walking away? "Welcome to earth. You can have a place for yourself for all I care, but as long as you're my second, you have to live in the mansion. Government protocol." He shrugged and got up he looked at Vee who shifted a little and breathed in relief as he left.

"Why do you want to leave?" She asked calmly hugging her legs now looking at the floor. He can't leave, it's just a fight! It's what they do. She didn't know if she was mad at him, guilty, hurt, jealous or all of that. It was all just crazy.

Jax shut down his emotions like he did whenever he is feeling so much emotion. He turned to Vee as he digested the fact that he is still going to be staying in the mansion, "I need some space." He said in a toneless voice as he looked at her shoulder, he didn't want to see her eyes which was probably spitting hate and disgust at him.

He shifted so that he would be facing her even though he was not really looking at her at all. This fight was a typical one that they have but this time, he really hurt and he didn't want to see the look in her eyes. "And I need some time to think," he added as he closed his eyes because her shoulder was even beautiful to him and it really hurt just looking at her, hoping for her love that would never come.

She looked up at him, her eyes sad but no longer angry. "Think here and take all the space you want. But don't go" she said as she moved closer and extended her hand so she can touch his. How can she tell him that she was in love with him and that she freaked out when she heard about Leah? "It's just a fight right? It's what we do" she whispered "but we don't walk away"

Jax looked at the hand that was so close to his but for second he could see himself holding that hand but he didn't want to get hurt again so he just looked at her straight in the eyes, "I'm not going but I need a break from all of this...from us," he whispered even though his heart was falling into pieces.

"If you don't mind I'll be going now," he said in a bland tone as he stood up. "Are you staying here?"He asked as he turned his back to her.

"You freaked me out Jax" she said looking away. "You don't just drop something like that in the middle of a conversation and expect me not to freak out. How would you feel if I told you I love Hunter huh?" She asked demanding him to look at her. "I don't want to share you" because I love you she wanted to say but the words didn't come out. When he didn't answer she sighed. "Think or take a break or talk to Leah or do whatever. But you're mine." She wasn't going anywhere now. Not before he leaves.

Jax felt his insides turn upside down at her words and he turned around to say, "I won't ignore the fact the you jumped into conclusions but about you loving Hunter? I would kill him before he even takes your heart... and the same goes for you Vee, you're mine." With that he gave her a caress on her cheeks and left the basement to find Lea. He needed to talk to her about this and he wasn't the type of person to just things stay the way they are.

((Oki doki. Guess she'll stay here a bit then comes upstairs.))

Vee went upstairs to shower and change her clothes. She was exhausted from being angry and kind of lonely. She grabbed a book she was reading called Claimed and headed back for the basement, it was cosy in there and she needed to clear her mind a bit. She was dressed for bed though, wearing pajama shorts and an orange strapped top, her hair up in a bun and was now engrossed in her book trying to not think about today's events.

Lea came back in the basement since she left her handkerchief on the ground. What she didn't expect was Vee still there. She was wearing her bed clothes and it seemed a little bit weird since the basement was so dusty but she knows that Vee wants to be alone after what happened earlier, "What happened to Jax?" she asked in a light tone.

((Oops just posted in the common room, let's continue here then go upstairs?))

Vee wanted to hide the book, but it was no use now. "He's taking some kind of a break" she said back. She wasn't angry at leah, not really. The scene earlier, she would have done the same if it was Hunter so she can't blame her. "Didn't he talk to you?" She asked hoping things can be normal again.

Lea shook her head, "Not yet but good thing you said something and I meant what I said earlier he's halfway to falling in love with you so don't let the little thing about Jax loving me in a romantic way get in the way between the two of you." With that she left Vee to her thoughts.

Quin opened his eyes to see that he was in some room that smelled like something old. He try to raise a hand to his head when he couldn't move his hands. "What the hell?" He exclaimed as he tried to let his magic break the hold but it was no use.

With casting a spell, walking almost 2 miles just to get here and giving some of his magic to Jax, he was all out. Banging his head on the wood behind him, he saw Jax in the similar position but with his head down and he was not moving at all. He waited and when he saw his chest went up and down he sighed. He was always sighing these days and he knew that he shouldn't have come to this place but his brother was here and he promised that he would protect him.

He looked around and when he saw Hunter and the other guy he snarled, "What the fuck, man? Can't you see that I'm useless without my powers. What do you need these for?" He asked as he moved his hands. The bond that kept him was dark magic and he knew that if it wasn't for him being empty he would have thought that it was himself who had done it.

Hunter smiled and leaned against the wall "This is Stefan, he's my new second" He nodded towards Stefan. he then looked at Jax "and Stefan, those are Quin and Jax. Oh and by the way Quin, you are useless even with magic on you" he now started walking back am forth "Stefan, if it's no trouble let them loose, but still bound to this room"

Stefan was surprised that Hunter called him his second. Actually Hunter was surprising him greatly now with his attitude, but apparently they pissed him off big time, because he'd seen him this way only once before and it wasn't pretty. Stefan unshackled them with a spell so they can roam the room.

Hunter's brain was racing with outcomes to their situation, he can always call the officials to come pick them up, but he felt he'd be hurting Vee. At least way he was avenging her ache or at least he hoped. He stopped walking and turned to Quin "Why are you back?"

Quin felt the restricting bond that kept him from moving gone but he didn't move from his position on the ground since he was still weak and it hurts. "I know this may sound weirs coming from me but I want the best for my brother so...I erased his memories yet again," he said in a breathless voice.

He turned to Stefan and nodded respectfully, "I may not loo like it but I'm doing the best that I can so that Jax wouldn't burdened. The spell I specifically casted on him would vanish if he left this town but his memory is wiped clean off Vee and ever coming here in the first place."

He bowed his head as he tried to breathe slowly. Was he hyperventilating? If he was, Jax better sure not remember anything or there will be some ass-whooping if he wakes up.

Hunter groaned as he hit the wall with both his fists and turned to Quin finally letting his anger show "Don't you fucking get it?" He asked shouting now "You have no freaking right to wipe off people's memories! The more you do that you screw things up even more! How do you think Vee would feel when she sees him and once again he doesn't remember her? And the last thing he did before forgetting her is leaving?"
He rubbed his temples "I should just give you to the officials! Stripping you of your damn magic is what should to idiots like yourself. Did you consider the number of spells and curses in your brother's head right now? How is that helping him?"

Stefan was so damn confused that he didn't bother hide it. What does he mean by Jax leaving Vee? Were they involved? No he thought. He knew Vee isn't capable of being in a relationship. That's what defines her. But then again, everything is was proving his theory to be wrong.

"Don't worry about Jax. It's not like I wanted to do it and I'm the one suffering all these years, you know? When I was casting my curses on him, I always add on the fact that its disadvantages was always mine. I'm the one who is fucked up mess. And as for Vee? I know the risks but she needed to understand that my brother is not just some boytoy she can play with." He said carefully.

He may not really be a good guy but for his brother he would do anything. "If I let this facade go? You will see how truly messed up I am," he said as his appearance wavered to reveal a man who was so pale that he looked like a corpse and his eyes were so black that it looked like a demon's. He gave in a little as he grunted to keep the lively, animated appearance back and he succeeded.

Hunter was shocked by how Quin looked all of a sudden that he couldn't find a suitable response for this. He was angry all right, furious, but what will he do? The damage is already done. A couple more curses and Quin would be dead in a matter of seconds, as for Jax he'll start over? Then what? And Vee, how is she going to react to all this? She can't stay drunk for the rest of her life.

He slid to the floor and leaned against the wall, "What do you expect to happen now Quin? What was the point of coming back if Jax can't remember a thing and you're practically killing yourself?" He asked trying to see how all thus end "And if Jax was just a boytoy or whatever to Vee trust me I would've been the first to point that out. But she's stuck with him through all of this, and believe me when I say it wasn't cuz he was great in bed" he said sarcastically. He knew they didn't do it during Vee's breakdown last night.

Stefan sighed and before Quin could reply he said "I'll go check on Vee, make sure she's okay" and with that he left his head still trying to make sense of everything or anything.

"I don't know why I did what I did to Jax but you see they can start over again and I want for him," nodding to Jax with a slight not. He smiled in remembrance when Jax was still with June. It may not be love that he saw but it was close and when Jax was with Vee he wanted that for him and more and he was willing to give his life for it. He didn't want to die but maybe it was destiny that he would be forever living alone.

He felt so much melancholy for that minute that he stood up and stretched. He punched Hunter on the shoulder like they were friends and maybe, just maybe he wanted them to be but that was not going to happen since he had betrayed Hunter's trust.

"Do you have something to eat? I'm starving," he said in a light tone and when Hunter just looked at him, "C'mon, can we at least pretend that we're friend? And if that's hard enough for you, acquaintances?"

Hunter stood up "We're ordering pizza. I don't starve my hostages. Not that it's a common occurrence" he didn't know what to do now, Quin is technically paying the price for all he's done. What he didn't know is, if Vee will be willing to start over which he doubted.
"You can stay here for a while, a mansion is a sanctuary. A safe place, but you can't be part of the circle neither can Jax not anynore So you'll have to find yourselves a place to live form now on and probably a job unless you're loaded"
He started out the basement "the spell will be lifted after you talk to Vee. I'd wish you good luck but you need much more"

Quin nodded thoughtfully. It was better this way and good thing that he wiped Jax's memories so that he wouldn't remember all of this shit. He looked up from the ground and he said to Hunter, "I'm awfully rich so don't worry us and as for Jax? He might have not told you the truth but he is kind of a millionaire." He didn't boast since it was all true. He took a seat beside his brother's sleeping form and waited for Hunter to leave.

He heard voices. He didn't know if it's a dream or not, all he knows that he can't move and when he felt a warm hand on his arm he twitched from the contact. He was in Louisiana, right? He was at this some seedy bar down the coast but he was not drinking. he was just seating at the bar thinking of June's death yet again and as women came up on him, he turned away since he was practically cheating if June was still alive.

"Are you awake? If you are, don't rush it," one of the voices he had heard and what was weird was that it reminded of his voice. Raspy and deep. He mentally nodded as he checked his body fro any wounds or such. Was he kidnapped? He thought with cynicism. Was he about to be sliced-and-diced like the horror movies he came to love because June had pushed him?

No...that was not it so after half an hour of thinking of the worst possible scenario, he opened his eyes. He was wearing some dark jeans and a white shirt, that he can see. "I see you're awake, you asswipe," that voice said on his left side and he was about to answer back when he saw the voice's face.

He jumped back as what he saw shocked his senses. It was like looking at a mirror, with the same brown hair that he tried to tame, the face that looked like somebody thought that it was good to give him a face that attracted ages from 13 to 60. He raised a shaking hand to one shoulder and he tapped it. "Shit," he exclaimed as he slid away.

"I'm glad you're awake and all but I don't want you acting like a pussy so let me introduce myself...I'm your twin brother, Joaquin. You can call me Quin and this is not a dream, this is real," Quin said in a rather light tone like this was normal for him.

"But-But how was that possible? I'm an orphan," he said in a confused tone as he looked at the face he saw everyday in the mirror.

Quin sighed, "We were separated when our parents left us and only this past years, I only came to know you," he said as he raised a hand to his hair. Jax couldn't help but think it was too uncanny to have the same mannerism with Quin.

"Where are we?" Jax asked as he stood up and stretched. Quin laughed, "Don't you remember? We're in Dagger Hills," Jax turned to see that Quin was looking at him intently. "Where is that?" Jax asked as he looked around, it looked like they were in a somebody's basement and he waited Quin to answer him but a light poured in as a creaking noise that said that someone was coming to get them.

Vee followed Stefan down the stairs and didn't dare ask who was waiting for her, she saw the tension is his back and her stomach twisted as she thought who they might be.

As they entered she saw two figures on the floor and she almost fainted at that moment. "Stefan" she said slowly, "why are they here?" Trying to keep her anger from surfacing but she was doing a terrible job. She felt Stefan's hand on her left shoulder and he whispered "Just talk to Quin, I'm right here"

She turned to Quin "Speak before I hit your pretty face with the first thing I put my hands on" she said no humor in her tone. It was bad enough that Jax left her, now he's back without even giving her the time to drain her anger or hate him or do whatever girls do after breakups.

Jax looked up to see legs that ran up to miles. Ever since June's death he was not interested in any female but this one...he was tempted. She was wearing a dress so short that if she jumped or move fast he would see so he stuffed his hands in his jeans and waited to be introduced.

Quin smiled at Vee and he waved his fingers at her, "Long time no see, Vee. Have you met my brother?" He asked as he gestured to Jax's form. He waited for her answer and when he eyes flashed anger, he shook his head and he turned to where Jax was. "Come here, Jax. I want you to meet Vesta or Vee which she normally prefer." He held out a hand to him.

Jax stared at the ground as he walked to them. He punched Quin's shoulder lightly, "It's nice to meet you, Vee." He said, not looking up for her fears if he did, his control would break and yes even though it was their first time meeting he knows that it would affect him so much if moved.

This did it. Quin had stolen even her right to be angry! Because how does on be angry with someone who doesn't even remember her!
She never knew she could lose someone in so many ways, and it was Quins fault again and again.
She was contemplating slapping his smug face once again, but she won't be satisfied. So she decided she'll have to hurt him, just as he did her. The problem is, what will she do with Jax? Did she hate him? No. Can she forgive him? Still no. Is she willing to start over? This she didn't know.
On one hand, she can have a functional Jax for a change, on the other, she would be killing herself in the process. Love is forbidden to her now, maybe Stefan being here is some kind if a sign. She shook her head still undecided as she felt three pairs of eyes staring at her and smiled he seductive smile "Hii, call me Vee" she extended her hand to Jax "Quin you didn't tell me you've got a twin. I think we've got a lot of catching up to do"

Jax looked up and that was when he felt something in his heart that hadn't beat ever since June died. He smiled back at her and he slowly shook her hand, "Nice to meet you, Vee." When she was about to take her hand back, he held it longer than it was polite.

He turned to the male beside him and he offered his hand to him, "I'm Jaxon Wells and you are?" He turned just in time to see Quin shoot looks at Vee. Wait a minute, were they involved? Oh shit.

Quin shook his head again at Vee and this time he gently laid a hand on her shoulder and before taking his hand back he squeezed it to let her know that they would talk later. Pasting a bright smile on his face he looked at Jax who was watching them.

Vee felt electricity from the tips of her fingers all up to her spine. She tried to pull away but Jax held on longer. When he dropped her hand she wanted to curl in his chest, but she kept her face indifferent.

Stefan introduced himself, shaking Jax's hand "Stefan" he smiled politely. If it was a different situation, the three of them might've been friends.

Vee looked at Quins hand on her shoulder and glared at him till he took it off. She tried avoiding eye contact with Jax as her stomach twisted in knots. "Quin, what are the two of you doing in our basement?"

Quin answered Vee carefully, "Hunter needed something for us to get and he left us to get something upstairs." He lied with a straight face. Through the years he had come to lie effectively so as he looked at her directly he cracked a smile at her. "So, do you want to continue this conversation upstairs or here?" He asked and yes he was getting claustrophobic although he didn't show it to the others.

Jax smiled at Stephan before stepping on the first step leading upstairs, "Yeah, let's go." He said and he was quite content in leading since he had been along all these years but his social skills were still acceptable. He glanced at Vee's profile and he let her pass, "Ladies first."

"I'm sure he did" Vee muttered under her breath as she passed Jax, not glancing his way. She didn't want to talk to Quin, and she didn't want to see a clueless Jax, but she'll have to deal with both of them till they leave, cuz she was sure Hunter would never let them stay here long.

As they made their way up the stairs she turned to see if Stefan was still following an he was. But he was muttering some kind of spell as they climbed.

Jax shrugged, "I met Lea." He said simply with a catch in his voice. He had remembered Lea like they had met yesterday. She was the only one he could open up to after June and he missed her deeply since it's been a year now that he had any contact with her. He knew that by the look on Stefan's face that he was uninterested by what he is saying but he didn't give a damn anyone's opinion, especially a person he just met.

"It's okay man, I bet you'll see her soon" he said shrugging. He had seen Hunter texting a Leah so it probably was not a coincident. Nothing ever is, he learned that the hard way. He prepared the tools and started working on the dark liquid that should be a strengthening potion. However the air was thick because of the dark magic emitting from Quins body. "Do you have any idea, what your brother might've done?" He asked hoping to get any kind of info from Jax's subconscious.

Jax was about to shrug when words form in his mind like something was pushing him to say it so he did slowly, "I guess he did some spell that might have affected him so much to be like this." He shook his head as he stopped speaking. He was surprised that for a moment he was quiet. He suddenly looked at his hands which were turned into fists and he slowly released as tension left his whole body.

"Aha" Stefan said eyeing him from the corner "I bet he did" the black fumes were almost suffocating as the powerful potion is brewed. Leaving it to cool for a while, he leaned against the wall crossing his arms. Suddenly the room started to shake uncontrollably, however Quin didn't as much as shiver so Stefan assumed it's dark magic seeping into and out of him.

Jax looked at Quin for any sign of pain and when he didn't see anything he breathed in a sigh of relief, "What's happening?" He asked Stefan without taking his eyes off of Quin who was laying on the ground like stone.

When Stefan didn't reply to his answer he just shrugged in indifference. Jax shifted so that he can look at Quin closely and he was surprised that his pale face awhile ago was much better. "How long will this spell take?"

Stefan poured some of the potion in a vile and pocketed it taking the rest and giving it to Jax "A couple of hours tops" he said trying to sense the kind of dark magic running in Quin's veins. He felt his pocket vibrate, so he took out his phone "It's a text from Hunter, he found the pendant. It's made to reflect the side effects of the curses he uses on people on himself" Steafn said still looking at the screen. He then looked up at Jax "Is your brother some kind of self inflected pain addict?" he asked not really surprised, in the institution he was in, he'd see worse.

Jax shook his head. He didn't know if Quin was an addict or not since he had only met him a few hours ago. "Sure but I feel tired all of a sudden. Do you have a motel somewhere? Since Hunter didn't want me here." And that was peculiar, he thought. He had never done a thing to the guy and he was acting like he was an asshole.

When Stefan didn't answer with what seems to be like an eternity he said, "I guess I'll be making some discovery myself." He looked at Quin for one last time, taking in the color that is obvious in his brother's face. Considering the fact that almost 30 minutes ago Quin was like a corpse it was a major improvement. Nodding now at Stefan before leaving he let himself out.
