Thanks, Talia for the fun Adventure pick :)

What type of adventure are you guys looking at this coming month?

For me, I can't wait for June to be over! It's our busiest time at work and it's driving me bonkers :p

Haven't got to my June read yet... with all that's going on at work, I'm too tired to read most days :(
So after I got to my June read (Life After Life), I think I'm going for something lighter: Artemis Fowl

And then maybe City of Fallen Angels...

LynnB | 1770 comments I'm thinking of finally reading Don Quixote which has been on my to-read list forever, then maybe The River of Doubt: Theodore Roosevelt's Darkest Journey. I'm trying to read books that I have sitting on the shelves at home :)

Adrienne Teague (ateague) | 339 comments Ooh! Perfect!

Okay, I read Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone in June, so I think I'll read Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets in July.

Maybe Life of Pi or I Am Number Four or Ready Player One.

Ooh! Or Frankenstein or Beautiful Creatures

Looks like I will find something to read.

Julia (juliace) I'm thinking Angels & Demons and City of Bones for my Adventure picks.

message 7: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (laurenjberman) | 1226 comments I will probably read The Hunt For Atlantis (Nina Wilde & Eddie Chase, #1) by Andy McDermott and/or The Templar Legacy (Cotton Malone, #1) by Steve Berry . I've had the 2nd one on my TBR for ages. Maybe I will finally get to it.

message 8: by Karen (new)

Karen (karenofthebookworm) I had planned to read A Song of Ice and Fire, 5 Book Set Series: A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, A Dance with Dragons over the summer and as they are all on this shelf I'm going to stick with that.

message 9: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 286 comments I have The Lord of the Rings sitting there waiting to be revisited and as I'm travelling over July I'll be interested to see how much I can get through during long plane trips.

message 10: by CassieV (new)

CassieV | 260 comments Wow, this looks like a fun shelf. :) I've read 16 on the first page!

I keep getting sidetracked from our monthly shelves by different reading challenges, but hopefully I can read a bit off of this shelf for July. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is on my neglected LOST list, so that would be good to get to.

Graceling and A Game of Thrones I've been thinking about for a while, but I probably won't start both of them since they are both part of a series. Or I might start the City of Bones series... hmm, decisions, decisions.

This is a really tough choice, because there are so many to choose from.

First, I'll try (for the 3rd month in a row) to get to Shatter Me. But beyond that, I think I'll choose as the month goes along.

message 13: by Rora (new)

Rora I'm planning on...

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
The Angel Experiment by James Patterson
The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas

message 14: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) I read The Three Musketeers years ago and, while I don't remember alot of it, I do remember that I enjoyed it very much.

message 15: by Katie (new)

Katie | 5 comments Finally time for me to finish the Harry Potter series!
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

I finished The Three Musketeers but I didn't enjoy it, didn't like the characters. I did enjoy The Count of Monte Cristo.

D.G. | 1370 comments No clue what I'll read for this shelf. I figure tons of my books qualify so I guess I'll read what I like and then see if fits the shelf!

message 19: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) While I was waiting for my ADVENTURE books to come from the library, I started reading The Clan of the Cave Bear (Earth's Children, #1) by Jean M. Auel . Since this is book is on the ADVENTURE shelf, this will be my July read.

message 20: by [deleted user] (new)

I will read City of Bones in preparation for the movie.

I really enjoyed the first 2 books. Sadly couldn't go through the 3rd so unlikely that I'll get onto 4 & 5 :p

message 22: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) So far I'm really enjoying the first... As long as it holds my interest, I'll keep going on with the series.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

I am reading A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin for July. If I finish it I will be moving on to more George R.R. Martin.

message 24: by Niamh (new)

Niamh | 61 comments I'm going for A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin for this month. I have some catching up to do... nearly middle of the month already :)

message 25: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) Still waiting for my other adventure books to come in the library....

message 26: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) While I'm waiting for my other "adventure" books to come from the library, I'm going to start reading People of the Wolf (The First North Americans, #1) by W. Michael Gear . I enjoyed "Clan Of The Cave Bear" so much and this one has been sitting in my book case for awhile I thought I would try it (and it is on ADVENTURE shelf#-222).

message 27: by Julia (new)

Julia (juliace) I started reading Angels & Demons and The Adventures of Tom Sawyer but I did not like them. Divergent was delivered by the library over the weekend, so I will start reading that.
