Now, I consider myself a pretty hardcore reader, but I will admit that there are two books that I have cried while reading. They are:

The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan ( The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5) by Rick Riordan ): The last in one of my all-time favorite series (I love u Percy!).

Shadows in The Silence by Courtney Allison Moulton ( Shadows in the Silence (Angelfire, #3) by Courtney Allison Moulton ): That last part... oh.... *sniffle*

So what books made you guys cry, and why?

Let me know in the comments!

I was so emotional that i'm waiting a time to follow reading the sequel!

Oh wow. What was so sad? did somebody die?

message 4: by Angelli (new)

Angelli (angchelle) | 69 comments Someone died but before the begining if the book... but that was not the most heartbreaking thing... it was the reason behind it!
I recomended cuz makes you value all you have but its a deep read.

I cried while reading Light too. :( It was so sad

Imari (yonna7) | 26 comments I don't often cry over books, but I actually cried (for the first and only time) over a book in the Anne of Green Gables series. The random death of this character who I had come to love literally made me throw the book at the wall and cry. I think it was Anne of the Windy Poplars (there were so many Anne books.).

Lol! You'll be so surprised when you find out who dies. I wasn't expecting some of the deaths at all.

That's by John Green right?, from what I have heard from people his books are quite depressing. It sort of put me off reading his book

No wonder you don't cry if you won't read depressing books ;) But Will Grayson, Will Grayson is not depressing. It's nice, and full of sarcasm. I liked an Abundance of Katherines as well. Typical comedy. A bit.. not depressing, but not-happy at the start, and then it gets funnier and funnier. But both Fault in Our Stars and Looking for Alaska is pretty depressing.

Trinity Kissed by an angel by Elizabeth Chandler

Ken (kanthr) Well, nearly Out of Africa by Karen Blixen , number9dream by David Mitchell , and There Are Doors by Gene Wolfe .

No actual tears, but the emotion that spawns them.

Yeah I've heard that that book was really sad. That's part of why I haven't read it yet.

Joudie | 22 comments @Alexia, I cried like a baby when I read The Book Thief! I should've stopped when I realized it's from Death's POV but I really wanted to read it. So good though <3

message 23: by Bailey (new)

Bailey I think the only book that I've ever cried reading was The Fault In Our Stars. I think that's probably why i consider it my favorite book now.
