My name is Marla and I am the new moderator of this site. I have not had much experience so please bear with me while I try and get my feet under me.

congratulations Marla. Looking forward to having this site active. I want to support you in your endeavor so if there is anything I can do to help let me know.

There is a support group for moderators that might help. It did me when I first became a moderator of Linda Howard Book Junkies.

I hope so too. I am not sure if you want to go in this direction, but when I took over Linda Howard my membership was dead. I did a couple of things. First, I checked out other groups and if a question could be applied to my group I asked it. I also played games. Finally after I had been a moderator for about 6 months I got ahold of LH and got her and another writer to do a Q&A. That more than doubled my membership.

I feel bad, because I left you in the lurch. I sincerely didn't know I was the moderator. I have no idea how that happened, and I know how much effort it takes to make a group successful.

Please do not feel bad I did not have to say I would take it on. I am also co moderator of the Tess Gerritsen group so hope that I can get this one going. I think part of the problem could lay with the fact that it is author specific just like Tess Gerritsen and because the authors are not hugely prolific with their writing it is hard to get people interested so your thought about other authors may be a way to go. Perhaps have an Iris Johansen book of the month and another author as well.

Hi Debby and welcome to the group. I really do not know which book you should start with as I have enjoyed all the books I have read. I have missed a few books and may go back and read them.

Hi! I am Teresa. I have read most of IJ books (except the latest). I have read so many, that I have forgotten most of them!lol Of course, my favs are the Eve Duncan books. I have never been a part of a group like this. So I am not sure what it entails, just love IJ's writing.

I have not read the last trilogy, but when I saw the books, I was immediately interested. That's why I have started the series from book 1... How do you like her? Have you read all of the books in the Eve Duncan series??? I really haven't formed an opinion yet so far book one has my interest.

Thank you!!! I am currently listening to book 10 of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward (LOVE THEM!!)- good read if you're into the vampire slayer/ romance. I'm also reading the Alex Cross series by James Patterson and I just started the Stone Barrington series by Stuart Woods... Both are great reads!
I like Maya Banks, I read her Breathless trilogy this summer, it was great! I also moderate a book club on here, it's called Turning Pages. The group is new and not a lot of participation since all of my memebers are new to goodreads, so I decided to join other groups that share similar interests to satisfy my love for literature with others!!!

I am a James Patterson fan as well. I have not read Maya Banks but her books look interesting and sadly I am not a vampire type of woman. Hope you enjoy Iris Johansen's books. I am going to go to your board now and check it out

Maya Baks Breathless trilogy was the dom/romance type of books, sort of like Fifty Shades trilogy but better... Please do check out the page and let me know what you think!

Ooh I will have to read the Maya Banks series you mentioned as it sounds good. I will let you know what I think of your board once I take a good look at it.

Hi everyone, My name is Sheri and I just recently started reading Iris Johansen books. I found one of the books at books-a-million and thought it sounded good. The Book was Quinn and did not know that it was part of a trilogy or a bigger series. I read a couple of pages and realized that it was a trilogy. So I waited until I could find the first one. I bought Eve and Bonnie and read the trilogy and then found out that it was part of a bigger series. So I have started from the beginning. I am currently reading Blood Game and I am completely addicted.

Welcome Sheri I am so glad you found us. I still have not read all the books in the series and many I have read were a few years ago but I always enjoy Iris Johansen's book. Please feel free to post your thoughts on the books here.

I my name is Tye, IJ is one of my favorite authors. My all time favorite book is The Ugly Duckling followed by The Search, No One To Trust and Dead Aim. I can't get enough of the Eve Duncan series, I enjoyed Eve, Joe and Bonnie. I was bit disappointed on how Bonnie was killed, however I love leaning who Bonnie's father was. I can read about John Gallo all day.

Welcome Tye....IJ is also one of my favorites...There is only one other author that I love more. I am just about to finish the series...I am currently reading Sleep no more. I had already read Taking and Hunting Eve so the only other book I have left to read is Silencing Eve

I LOVE THE EVE DUNCAN BOOKS THEY ARE MARVELOUS. I'M FINALLY GLAD THAT EVE FINALLY FINDS OUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER DAUGHTER BONNIE AND WHO KILLED HER. EVE FINALLY GOT SOME PEACE, SHE HAS BEEN LOOKING HER DAUGHTER BONNIE SINCE SHE DISAPPEARED AND BEEN LOOKING FOR HER BODY EVER SINCE.
