Christopher Conn (cmconn) | 135 comments I got a nook HD to replace my nook tablet. I had an anti-glare screen protector on the older one and it worked real well to keep fingerprints off the screen.

Now that I have a new HD I'm thinking of putting a clear screen protector on it but I'm wondering how it will effect the HD movies.

Do any of you have these? Do you see a difference when watching movies?

Christopher Conn (cmconn) | 135 comments I will not try it myself, will let the experts at B&N do it. I would suck at it too or break something.

Linda Boyd (boydlinda95gmailcom) | 360 comments Christopher did you end up getting the screen protector for your HD? I have gone back and forth on this issue. I think I want a protector, but have not gotten one, I just continue to clean my screen.

Do anyone else have any comments about this??

Christopher Conn (cmconn) | 135 comments I might go up to B&N tomorrow and just compare how movies look with and without a clear screen. If there's no difference I'll pick one up and have them put it on.

I'll let you know how well it works.

Colette (theautumnmaiden) | 49 comments wow I thought I was the only one who couldn't put those on! just bought my ne nook hd ( for 99 bucks in my state!) and the nook lady convinced me to buy a protector but I have wasted so many on past devices because it is soo hard for me to get those on!

Linda Boyd (boydlinda95gmailcom) | 360 comments I have a screen protector on my Iphone, but I had the guy at the store do it for me, and I will do the same If I decide to put one on my Nook, I'm not even going to stress myself out with doing it myself.

Thanks Christopher!

Missyb | 221 comments I always put a screen protector on anything with a screen (cellphone, Nook, etc). I don't watch movies on my Nook HD, but I put the screen protector on it as a precaution. I lucked out and bought a 3 pack of screen protectors from Borders when they were going out of business, so I paid less then $5 for it.

putting a screen protector on anything is a form of torture, didn't you know that. You put it on, then peel it back then on then peel it back, like the movie Ground Hogs Day

Christopher Conn (cmconn) | 135 comments I picked up a clear pack of 2 for $15 today at B&N and they put the protector on for me. It looks good, no fingerprints. I tested it with a few movies on HBO GO and netflix and they look great.

I noticed when I first got the nook I tended to use a real light touch. With the screen protector I press down a lot more. But then again I don't worry about smearing it all up with the protector.

Linda Boyd (boydlinda95gmailcom) | 360 comments How is HBO GO?? Is it sort of like Netflix??

message 13: by Christopher (new)

Christopher Conn (cmconn) | 135 comments If you are an HBO subscriber you can go to HBO GO on a computer or an electronic device (nook, tablet or phone) and watch their movies and series. Most of the movies are HD and they stream very well.

Nook does not have an HBO GO but android does so with google play you can watch it on the nook.
