Cai made it to the amphitheater. He had just finished getting away in order to get here and hang out with his best friend, Issanah. Issanah may be a hater and someone on a different team, but when they were together, nothing else mattered. She was the exception to his dedication to the Purple Raves. They had been great friends a long time. She had helped him in his worst time. Sure sometimes she was harsh, but she wasn't as harsh as people realized.

I think they should be close. We haven't given them a test drive yet, so I need a few posts to figure it out...and what is a fwbs?))

Curled up in a lousy, squeaky chair Issanah felt content. Her iconic boots were set on the floor so Issanah could tuck her feet under her. Today she felt Victorian. Usually she felt like whatever, but today she had bothered to give herself a very Victorian outfit with a very pretty, brown, high waisted skirt with neat little brass buttons down the back. Of course her jacket covered the majority of the outfit, but that was her normality.

The nicotine patches on her upper arm also was the cause of her docile and patient mood. Her head lifted from her own shoulder and she looked around. Her amber eyes gleamed happily as Cai was captured in her gaze. Lord knew that Cai was the only other teenager she got along with. Her Godfather wasn't a adolescent so it didn't count.

"So Prince Cai has decided to grace me with his presence?" She asked harmlessly, a smile touching her lips. She slammed her feet on the cold floor and stood up, grabbed her boots and walked up the steps to meet him. After a few steps, she dropped her boots and bounded up the stairs towards him.

"That would be Lord Brenin to you" Cai did a sarcastic curtsy and walked towards Issanah, who was moving closer to her. Issanah must have had a nicotine patch on today because she was surprisingly mellow when it was the beginning of the year.

((Secret bf/gf but acting like it before officially calling it that for a while.))

Issanah practically slammed into Cai when they met and threw her arms around him, squeezing him firmly. She had gone to live with Iruka in Washington, so she had not seen Cai at all during the course of the summer, thus, she missed him greatly.

"How was your summer" Cai said hugging her back just as tightly. Cai thought it was interesting to see Issanah after so long. He wondered what had happened over the summer and hope that they could just pick up where the left off. Issanah was by far his best frien and he didn't want to be awkward with her.

"Cloudy, rainy...." she replied, "I loved it." She sighed, thinking of how peaceful it had been.

"And you?" She asked, pulling away so she could look at him properly.

She was anticipating that they would have no problems just picking up. They never did after a long am mount of time, and she wanted to just talk before school started officially the following day

Cai looked at Issanah. "I actually didn't do much this summer. I stayed inside most of the time, learning th features of Photoshop and Instagram." Cai didn't have much to think about rught now. He might have possibly been stuck into her features.

Issanah made a face, "Instagram? That's for b**** rich girls who can't actually take pictures." she replied, rolling her brown eyes in distaste.

Though, she couldn't say she knew much about photography herself. It seemed to complicated and required too many parts and pieces. There was this and that, and standing at that angle and leaning to this side with that lens - and so on and so forth.

Cai couldn't help, but smile slightly at Issanah's comment about Instagram. Cai thought that Instagram was a great and simple tool to take pictures, but because of the people that used it, its great functionality had been lost to the masses.

Cai looked at Issanah and gave a short and simple reply "You mean like you?" Cai was only teasing, but worried that the comment had been to offensive as soon as he said it. His ace even showed his fretting.

_Fast Forward_

Cai and Issanah had a great conversation and at one point were really close to kissing, or at least their lips were close in a whisper. Cai parted way with her and went somewhere else.
