Xiame came into the studio, armed with her ballet bag. She was already dressed in her pink tights and favorite black leotard. Last night had been pretty unnerving for her, and she was beyond glad to be back in her comfort zone. Xia sat down near the mirror and unpacked her pointe shoes. They were a brand new pair for school, and they would probably last her a week. She bent their soles against the floor and then tied them onto her feet. Ah. Xia stood up, clomped over to the barre, and did a few exercises to warm up and to break in the shoes. After she was done, she went to the center and attempted a triple pirouette. Not quite. Xia landed the pirouette, but she was off balance and stumbled to the right.
Meanwhile, while she stumbled, Nisan shuffled in armed with nothing but a small duffle bag and himself. He was adorned with no accessories today (unusual for a man with pierced ears and a fierce love of bracelets). On him he wore a loose tank top with a bizarre logo on the front, and basketball shorts."Nnnnn." he moaned, opening the door. When he entered, he looked quite bored, but as soon a he was aware someone was in here he grinned wickedly and dropped his bag near the door.
"Try again!" he shouted, putting his fists in his loose pockets.
Actually, Nisan was here to practice one of his many talents, but due to his company, he would hold off. "Xia my princess, you look positively stunning." he complimented, pretending her eye her legs, but it was actually her feet. Why did she wear those ridiculous shoes?! He had once tried a pair on, and they were utterly terrible. Though, he would rather go barefoot in any case, hence why he was removing his sandals and kicking them towards his bag.
Xiamen scowled when she heard someone else's voice. When she was practicing alone, she hated to be distracted. The scowl turned into a thoughtful frown as she realized it was Nisan. Why was he here, anyway? She didn't think he danced. Things had changed a lot since the previous night. For one, Xia was no longer bored; she had practicing to do and she wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone. Also, Xia had called her mom and told her what happened (she and her mom were close like that. Actually, her mom was the only close friend Xia had) and Alexis had told her she couldn't afford to be distracted this year. That meant no boys.Nevertheless, Nisan was here, and Xia felt she owed it to him to be well mannered. "Thank you," she said, distantly but politely, in response to his compliment. She felt his eyes on her legs and felt a smudge of disgust - ballet was meant to show off a dancer's skill, not her body. Then she followed his gaze to her... feet? Her pointe shoes, perhaps. Xia decided to ignore him for now. She did a couple of relevés, hearing her mother voice shouting, Push out your arches! More, Xiame, more!. She tried the triple pirouette again, but she once again stumbled upon landing.
"Keep your shoulders level." He told her, grasping the barre, and lunging to stretch his calves. What he did wasn't dance, but whatever, same difference. In his opinion his "art" could be arranged and put to music was just like dancing. He stepped away from the barre and stretched his toned arms over his chest and approached Xia with a smile, "And picture it before you do it."
Xiame scowled once more. She didn't appreciate people her who weren't her instructors telling her how to dance, especially people barely older than her. She stepped away from Nisan, pointedly ignoring him, and began a complicated footwork exercise consisting of a lot of jumping. She watched herself in the mirror. Her dancing was quite advanced, it was true, and she could hear her mother's approval in her head.
Nisan watched her tense up after he tried to help, so instead of bothering her, he elected to back off. He had warmups anyways. In the mirrors he watched her as he stretched and warmed up. She was very good, beautiful in fact. Xia reflected what a ballerina should look like, but very tense."Xia, you dance flawlessly." he said and rotated his shoulders, his back to his reflection, "My only suggestion is to loosen up."
It was quite apparent she wasn't listening so clearly, he would have to show her.
"Xia, I know you are busy but I want to show you since words don't seem to be effective..." he came forward and watched himself in the mirror.
"It's like martial arts." he explained, looking at her in the mirror while she continued to Ignore him. "Tai chi is of water, it flows, gracefully, calmly."
He spread his feet and presented what he meant.
His eyes closed, face serene,"Watery muscles." he laughed and put his feet back together, "But you do not want to be water, you want to be sturdy and strong, like Earth. Hung Gar..." He demonstrated, legs and back tense as the forms blended quickly and powerfully like an avalanche.
"But you need more life! Like fire! Northern Shao Lin Kung Fu." he said, eyes burning with life. Controlled chaos overtook his mostly tense arm muscles.
"But..." he interupted, mid-lick, noq sweating a bit on his back, "Because ballet is a form meant to tell stories, entertain, ad to flow, Air of course is your option. Obviously, Ba Gua Zahng." he said and relaxed completely while his form suggested otherwise. It appeared complex with many forms and positions that required intense, but small movements.
He moved in circles, keeping and storing his weight before impressing her with a no-hands front flip. He grinned over at her and nodded shortly, "Air. Ballet is air. Relax, store energy." he told her, acting
like he hadn't just showed her he could kick ANYONE'S ass ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.
Nisan jerked his head towards the door, "Since you won't listen, should I just go?" he asked, really wondering if that was what he really should do.

Audrina walked in. it was her second year here, in Kale Ivy Institute. From when she was a little girl she had a dream. A dream to become a famous dancer and make her mother and dead father proud. Even though her mother never approved that, Audrina started dancing lessons from a very young age. At first, only ballet, but now she had become an excellent dancer of ballet, latin and breakdance. From her first day here, she started coming to the Dance Studio every day. she would stay here letting herself dance in the rythm of the music every day, she would come even at nights when everybody was sleeping.
As Nisan spoke to her, Xiame eventually stopped dancing. She stood in the middle of the floor and closed her eyes, trying to shut him out. Yet, she was listening. She eventually opened her eyes and stared into the mirror, seeing herself there, looking confused and a bit exasperated, and Nisan a little ways away. She was a proud person, she knew that, and she didn't like accepting help from people whom she hadn't asked for help. Currently, Nisan fell into that category. Okay. The flip was impressive. Xia wasn't a gymnast - she couldn't do things like that. "No. Don't leave," she blurted out when he suggested he should go. She took a deep breath and collected herself. "I mean, I don't want to interrupt your practice." Another breath. What could she say? "Look, Nisan, I know I kind of... led you on last night. At the dance. I'm sorry. But right now, I'm practicing. And my practicing has always been kind of... my alone time. My peaceful time. And it's not that I don't appreciate your advice - I do - but. Well, you're kind of hurting my pride over here."
Nisan rocked back and forth on his heels, not really listening to her either. He only registered what he wanted to hear. She just wouldn't accept advice would she? Well, neither would hem but he was male so it was a huge diff- and in GOD'S NAME, why did she wear those blasted shoes?! For some reason they annoyed him. The shape, color, texture, how they contorted the natural shape of the foot...the ribbon was pretty though....Hnn?What? Pride? Oh please....
Nisan laughed softly his shoulders shuddering as he did so, "You are very articulate, aren't you? I think that makes you respectable." He told her. His face and voice were positive and happy, but he was lying through his teeth. Articulate girls annoyed him to no end. They were so...so...MMMNNNEEEHHH!!!!
"Well then, where should I go so I don't get in your way. I'm doing Tai Chi today...the water one, but I don't wanna be in your way." He admitted truthfully, looking around the studio.
((So MMMNNNEEEHHH! Lol!))Xia waved her hand vaguely. "Anywhere," she replied. She was a little miffed that he hadn't given her speech more of a reply - she had thought it was very succinct - but at least he seemed okay with what she'd said. She pirouetted again, trying a different strategy: single, double, single, double, triple! This time she landed her triple in a perfect fourth. Ah. Better. Xia tried the same thing on the other side, but she was off balance on landing and, though she didn't move her feet, she waved her arms around in a very un-ballet like manner to regain her balance.
((I love him so much. XD))Nisan picked a spot near the corner of the room and started his exercises. In just a few minutes he felt himself relax, his heart and breathing slowed to almost a trance like rhythm. He moved slowly, letting himself move freely as if he were balancing bubbles in his hands, ans guiding raindrops to the ground. Xia as quiet, he could only hear her light steps on the wood, which was probably the cause of his lack of touch with reality.

Penelope slipped into the dance studio silently. She looked around and counted three other people in the room. Seeing the dance studio was fairly large and she just wanted one of the side bars for her ballet stretching there was more than enough room for all for. Penelope walked to the other side of the room which was occupied with anyone and dropped her bag besides her. She took off her sweatshirt, left in a running shirt and shorts. Yeah it wasn't the ideal dancing clothes but Penelope wasn't her for the dancing. She had given that up a long time ago. It never really interested her. But sometimes it was fun to pull Pierce into a ballroom dance here and there. No she really just came to do the warm ups and stretch, wanting to keep up her balance and flexibility. Not only that but the stretching from ballet was one of the few things Penelope found relaxing.

Audrina put her bag down, on the floor and took her red coat off, exposing her sports clothes. she headed to a ballet bar and started stretching. that was necessary before she would start dancing. she liked to practice alone, but there were more people in the room, luckily only a few of them.
Penelope saw Audrina out of the corner of her eye. She eyed the girl up and down before she returned to her own stretching. She moved back for a moment before sitting down with her legs stretched out before her. She leaned forward till her head was touching her knees. She stayed in that position for a few moments breathing slowly before she pulled back, relaxing her muscles.
((Not sure how to have them interact))

((yeah...))after some minutes of warming up, Audrina put a CD in the cdplayer. she was in mood for some ballet today. She started dancing.
((

wow I wish I could do that! ))
Xiame practiced for a while. When she finally thought she'd made some progress on her triple pirouettes, she moved on to quick, controlled jetés. She'd only been working for about half an hour - long enough to build up a slight sweat, but not anywhere near to the long stretches of time she had been up an endurance for - when she suddenly lost motivation. Her focus was gone. Out the window, and whenever she tried to force her to concentrate, her head started pounding. Maybe she was dehydrated. Xia fetched her water bottle from her ballet bag and drank nearly the whole thing, but it didn't help. She just didn't want to practice any more.Well, she wouldn't be getting anything else done today. Xia sighed and packed up her things, including her pointe shoes, and left the studio.

Ballet bar, mirrors, the likes.
