Fletwerd walked up to the edge of the dock in his swimwear and jumped off. He spent so much time under the water he nearly drowned. There were.... people under there. They looked kinda like Rose, the nymph he met in the forest so he figured they would be water nymphs. He never heard of any others other than the tree nymphs, but what had shocked him far more were the fish. Rainbow fish-ponies, glowing starfish, you name it. Suddenly he realized everything was going black and he heaved himself back on the deck.
After completing a few laps around the lakefront Fletwerd heaved himself back up to the dock, ran back the cabin before he`d get eaten by the harpies.(continued in Hermes Cabin)
Cael walked out of the forest straight onto the beach where he found a big driftwood log lying in the sand. He walked over and sat down on the rough surface of the log, tracing the different curves in the wood with his finger. His mind in another world wondering could he trust any of them? Could he even cone out to them about his past? "No," he said aloud as he looked down at his sneakers at the sand beneath his feet. No one could know him and why should they? His life wasn't theirs to know about. "It's my world, they have theirs so why don't they just stay out of mine?" Cael said aloud as he watched the sand underneath his feet.
((Thanks!!))Cael sat there not thinking but instead feeling the breeze hit his face as he kept his eyes on the water hitting the beach.
She looked at him. He was strange. Lone ranger, obviously. Maybe a little dark. She stood walking over to him.
Cael had only heard the waves rolling onto the beach since he'd gotten to the lakefront but now he could hear another noise that of footsteps walking in his general direction. He turned his head to the side watching the figure walk closer.
John watched as terrin walked away well it's okay I guess I mean not like she'd be my guide the whole timei>he thought to himself while he tested his powers, trying to set controlled flames on his body
(( He's practicing setting his body on fire.))She walked closer till se was right in front Of him " hi." She said. She wasnt at all nervous or jittery like girls were around guys. She carried herself with confidence and no wild crush on this guy.
John was getting to the point where he could control the flames to a minor degree. He attempted to make a fireball
Rose walked up towards Cael. Oh huh Rose thought to herself, He's sitting with that Terrin girl. Maybe she can help him out. She saw John lighting himself on fire and squealed a little in fear.
Rose sat down away from both groups, and relaxed. She was listening to Terrin's and Cael's conversation
" then would you like me too ask while threatening to burn you with a fireball?" She asked raising an eyebrow
"Go ahead, threats aren't going to get you anywhere in life anyway...." Cael kept staring away from her now focusing on some child trying to.....burn himself?
"Why should I? It's my world and I can choose who I want to be apart of it," Cael said watching the boy attempt to make a fireball.
" I used to think that. But somebody showed me that you have to have friends. If you don't get hurt how do you learn who to trust? How do you learn how to handle the pain?" She asked him her black lips and dark brown eyes all asking the same question.
"Simple: you just don't let them in at all. Avoid the pain, screw everyone because there's no point to having people in your world when they'll only add to the pain," Cael said starting to stand up and leave.
" but if one could learn a way around pain one would be a lonely person. 'It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all' " she said. Sh was going to follow him if she must.
"Yeah? Well I've already loved and lost so I'm good on that point," Cael said standing getting ready to head back to the Apollo Cabin.
She stood too, she wasnt giving up "you act like your very emotions are your weakness. If you'd open up than maybe your stubborn old tortoise shell would come off." She said half teasing
"They are a weakness, they're one of the reasons why pain even exists, the pain of losing a friend, a loved one, without emotions the world would be a better place in my opinion," Cael said as he started walking down the beach towards camp.
She followed him " but then what would the human race be? We'd be robots, we'd do things that our self conscious would regret without blinking. We'd be cold hearted and cruel. That doesn't sound better. Life without compassion is a life without hope."
