Arena 40

Caleb looked around, very very nervously. He wasn't prepared for any of this. He was weak and small and scared. When the going rang, he ran towards teh cornucopia, and then stopped, not wanting to be in the bloodbath... he started to turn around, frantically looking for a corridor, maybe he would make it out alive... ((haha...not))

Caleb was just about to run down a corrider when he noticed a small item. Was that... a vial? he crouched down, forgetting about the danger he was in and looked at it...
Mason hears nothing nothing but his heartbeat and the footsteps of other running. While running endlessly, he watches out for the tracker jackers and makes sure that me makes no contact with it wat so ever. He can see the golden light from the cornucopia and sees shadows and voices of the other tributes fighting for the items and supplies

((Does anybody want to fight her? Not to kill her, just for a fight))
As Mason was leaving out, he sees one of the tribute girls from district 12 and she turned and blocked with her sword while he was about to slash his axe
((you know what to do, but don't kill. its not his time yet))
((you know what to do, but don't kill. its not his time yet))

Dyna grabbed the axe just as a girl, a weak pathetic little girl tried to grab it. "Oh no you don't!" she hissed, puling it up and swinging it across her. It happened so fast the girl didn't even have a chance to scream. The tracker Jacker venom was making its way through her body, and she felt a bit crazy and looked even crazier as she noticed a girl and started to go towards her (that would be Wren).
Mason noticed that the girl who was stung was his own little sister and screams
"Athene...GET AWAY FROM HERE, RUN!"shouted Mason but it was no use, the vemon made her body numb and deaf

Wren turned when she heard footsteps behind her. She raised her sword just in time as the boy swung his axe at her, blocking the strike from planting the axe blade in her forehead. With a small grunt, she pushed the boy's axe away from her face and swung the sword down towards the Tribute's knees.
Wren slashs Mason's lower legs but no more than a small cut wound. Something that Mason was used to being bitten everyday by wolves.
"You got to do better than that 12" said Mason while grunting."How are you going to face the careers if you can barely hit me".
"You got to do better than that 12" said Mason while grunting."How are you going to face the careers if you can barely hit me".

When the light sword touched Mason's chest, he was stunned. The fact that a girl from districted 12 and knew how to weild a sword so greatly. Possiblily better than the careers.
He swung his axe upward and backed up for space
"Got to admit, not to sabby 12" replied Mason

She gasped when she saw the arena, covering her mouth with her hand as she looked around at the masterpiece. It was exactly what she had imagined it would be! Well, minus all the important details. She glanced around at the tributes and the Cornucopia, which was also better then anything she had ever wanted. It was well, perfect. As she impatiently waited for the countdown to be over, she looked around for her allies, wondering which plates they had started on. the only person she managed to find at the moment was Dyna, whom she quickly made eye contact with and gave her a bloodthirsty smile. She swatted away a tracker jacker that was buzzing around her head. Somehow, she knew it wouldn't sting her until the arena started.
And then it did.
Ellory flew off her plate and headed right into the chaos of things. She darted ahead of most of the tributes, arriving there in the front of the pack. The first thing she saw that was close enough for use was the scythe, which she quickly plucked into her hands and turned to face the mass of tributes that had come to face her. It was a mad pack of people running in every different directions. It kind of reminded her of the maze and how unorganized that must be like. But now it was her turn to find someone, and begin this bloodbath the right way.
"The Name is Mason." replied with smirk
He ran toward Wren and while she was bout to slash again, he blocked it with the iron rod of his axe while tackling her down and threw her down to the ground with his massive body. Both of the weapons fell to the ground and both rolled although Mason gianormas body got the better of Wren and soon enough, Mason was on top of her.
"Not bad for a boy who just got you to the ground heh..12"

Wren grunted under his weight, scowling when she found he was too heavy for her to wriggle free of him. "The name's Wren," She hissed. Biting down hard on her tongue until she tasted the metallic taste of blood, she spat the crimson liquid at his face and stopped struggling.
Ivy was frigten, more scared than ever. She ran to the cornucopia as fast as she could and tried to grab one of the weapon. As she was bout to grab the weapon, she saw Ellory. And as that happen, she sign with a relase of problem while smiling at Ellory of her one handed arm.
"Listen girl, leave or u don't have to lose your second arm" said Ivy while laughing and not even giving Ellory the respect to look her in the eyes.
((she all yours kailee, tear her apart))

Next he locked his eyes on one dagger next to a sack of some sort. When the gong sounded he sprinted towards his treasures, but the dagger had been taken. Adam, not knowing what was to come decided to grab a larger weapon. His hands connected with the hilt of a sword and he swung it to deflect the blow of another tribute.
The Arena was real, this was happening, and he was determined to survive with Abi, so at least she could go home.
((Don't worry ambz))
The the saliva hits Masons face, as he felt a great amout of insult to him.
"That wasn't a very smart thing WREN." replied Mason. "But you got fire, got to give you that" while saying this, Wren can notice Mason's nose coming closer and understands this is her only chance of getting out of the position.
((you know wat to do next))

Ellory watched as the arena went from a subtle, quiet room to a deathbed in a matter of minutes. She sort of felt bad for the gamemakers that had worked so hard to make this beautiful arena, and now, it was getting ruined by all the dirt of these unworthy tributes running all over it like scared kittens. And speaking of scaredy-cats, one came right in her direction and suddenly became Ellory's first target. This girl came right up to her and had enough guts to look right at her and insult her. And the funny thing was that this girl was practically asking to be killed. She had strut right up without a worry (and without a weapon) and had enough guts to say that? Oh no... This was not going to fly.
Without saying a word in response, Ellory stepped one step towards the girl, using her scythe to slash down her arm. The arm came right off at the shoulder, dropping to the floor and sending a mass of blood rushing out to the metal floor.
"You know, maybe I will just take your arm instead."

Ivy felt numb for second and all of her mind felt in a bling. She slowly look at one of her arm and notice its missing. All of sudden a rush of pain comes to her shoulder and Ivy falls down screaming as if she was being toured apart.

"Come on, we need to move," he said.

She then turned to the girl on the ground, stepping on her chest and placing an insane amount of pressure onto it. "Now what were you saying away my arm? WHAT WERE YOU SAYING?""
The blood was squirting from Ivy's arm like a water pipe explosion. At this point Ivy could barley even speak. She screams in so much pain and cried out for help....but no one was there.
With one last word while crying in pain, Ivy said "Go to hell you SLUT"
Mason stood up while holding one of his arm to his nose and tried to numb the bleeding. As he saw Wren running of where he no longer can catch up to her. "The girls got fire" Mason told to himself while picking up his axe.
((please excuse my choice of words, I'd tried to make it realistic as possible))

He decided, "We should try to find them, but if it gets to dangerous we will leave."

She breathed in a fresh breath of air as the first canon of the arena boomed and rang along the iron walls. This was her time, her time to shine. "And it was a pity I never got your name." She made a pouty face at the dead girl's body, before turning and plucking up a sack that hung in the interior cornucopia wall. Looking around once more for an ally, or even another target.
Mason saw a figure in the far and walked over closer.
2nd boom cannon goes off He sees body mangled and scramed by the traker jackers.
"What a shame" said Mason as he moves the girls shoulder to see which district she was from.
Mason jaws droped..........."Number 10"
......It was his sister

((Yeah. Lil would probably choose blood over anything unless Dinn told her to leave her alone. And that's Melanie's choice, so...))
Lil had seen Abi and Adam, but her main focus was her brother. She ran forward, trying clumsily to grab something of use and ending up with a water bottle as her best thing in her arsenal besides her hands, but if she could find where the light was coming from, she might be able to make something more useful later. She saw Ellory kill a girl and shook the image from her head. Dinn was her main priority at the moment. She needed to find him and quick.
Caleb took in a deep breath as the gong sounded. He didn't actually need a weapon at the moment if he could take it from someone else, but supplies were a survival necessity. He grabbed a backpack and rolled his eyes when he found nothing inside of it, but it had the capacity to be handy later on, so he rolled it up and tucked it under his arm, grabbing another one and pushing someone ((anyone)) into the cornucopia before taking off down the hall that Wren had disappeared into.

Mason looked at his sister without motion. He was in a state of shock as the blood from his nose droped one by one. He held on to his sister as someone screamed in front of Mason which brought him back to realilty.
A boy from district 9 was holding up sword getting ready to slash but Mason quiclky gripped his axe and slahed and blunnted his stomach. The boy quickly fell to the ground as Mason slashed him several more time without mercy.

There. She'd let her anger out on that Jacob boy from Seven or something. She threw her arm back and swung her dagger forward, letting it go as it travelled towards the boy's leg.
Mason makes his way in the darkness of the arena. All he can hear from the background is the sound of swords and blodd spills. He walks as he thinks of his young sister's death. Of all the years of protecting his younger sister, he now has let her down.
Suddenly he feels bottom of his shoes hiitng the grass. He sees and small exit opening and enters into one of them.
Mason sits by the corner and waits for the others while holding his axe incase of danger.

"Hey," he said in a monotone. He noticed the body by her feat. "Nice." He had a look of disgust on his face.

"You seem to be doing great, so after you?" He said, sarcastically. He was at least partially back to his former self.

Ellory narrowed her eyes and scanned the area, trying to decide which corridor to go down. She watched the other tributes, hoping that one of them would start down one so her and Han could follow after them. Plus, if they followed the tribute, then they would know if a danger awaits ahead of them.
She snickered as he threw up, not quite sure why he was acting so strange. Yes, even she had to admit that the dead body somewhat creeped her out, but there was nothing that could be done about it now. "Suck it up you big baby." She said with a touch of uneasiness in her own voice. It was just then she caught sight of a boy (Star's Caleb) making a mad dash for one of the hallways, hoping to get out unseen. Reaching out and grabbing the fabric on her brother's shirt, she tugged him along and began to make her way after this boy. She ran/skipped with glee after the boy, giddy with the knowledge that she could make another kill soon.
"Ooh little boy! Come back here and play with us!" She call out after him as she quickly made her way around a turn and dashing after him, hoping her brother was close at heel.

"You don't have to... enjoy this, you know."

No, it was wrong to feel happy about killing people... But it was so much fun to do... But it was totally an un-humanly thing to do... Then how come it gave her such a rush?
She stopped dead her tracks, looking back at her brother with a stern and serious look on her face. She just stared into his eyes, analyzing whether or not he was meaning to offend her with what he was saying. When she decided he wasn't she looked to both sides of them, making sure no one was watching. She knew that almost all of Panem was watching, but maybe if she whispered, the cameras wouldn't be able to hear her. She once again grabbed the fabric of his shirt and pulled him in close to her, so that their foreheads were touching each other's. She spoke in such a soft whisper that her voice almost blended in with the faint hum of the tracker jacker buzzing. At this point she had snapped off her giddy face and was looking back to her normal self again.
"If you just pretend, more viewers will like us. If more viewers like us, we will get more sponsors. I don't care if we are careers, we need those sponsors." She pushed him back, putting back on the gleeful face that she couldn't decide if it was real or not. "And that's why I am enjoying this!" She exclaimed out loud, hoping to respond to the questioning viewers with a phony answer.

Hanover grabbed her shoulder softly, pulling her so that their bodies where pressed up against each other. Then, rather than bend down to press his lips against her ear, he lifted her off the ground.
"Are you sure this is what they want to see? Maybe the sponsors will sympathize with us? Besides, why would they give me gifts anyways? There are plenty of great tributes here!" He put her back down, sliding back into his smile.

Caleb stood back up and looked around wide eyes, the feeling of fright coming back. He held onto the vial tightly and started to run towards the nearest corridor, which he didn't even realize could hold unknown dangers.
((I'm gonna have Dyna have a bit of a weak moment here :) ))
(And where's jacob? :) ))
Dyna looked around wildly, trying to find not only a way out, but possibly another target. She held her axe, ready to defend herself and kill. She gritted her teeth as a tracker jacker found its way to her neck, but she ignored the pain. That was three stings so far....
(After she kills jacob, I'm gonna have her go all crazy and go unconscious. NOT DEAD. Just unconscious. Maybe an ally (ex: Han, Ellory, Tristan, Adam, etc.) could run into her as she goes unconscious? Then she'll feel like she'll have to repay them or something :) ))

Ellory giggled as she was lifted off of her feet into the air, playing yhe part perfectly. The strange thing about all of this was... Well, was she really acting? She actually enjoyed killing Ivy qt the moment, and only afterwards did she realize how horrible it was. But now, she was caught between which emotion she wanted to follow, and it wasn't really helping that Hanover was questioning what she was doing.
When she had been sat back down, she again came close and whispered so that all those people out there watching couldn't hear. "Trust me, the people with money love to see the blood. If we act like we love it too, they will send us stuff to help us keep taking peoples blood." She pushed back from him and began to walk down towards the corner where Caleb had fallen, placing a gleeful look back on her face for the cameras. "It's all common sense really!" She called back to him, knowing those words would mean nothing to Panem because they could be implied to anything.
((Her Star, the post you did for Caleb was perfect, but could you add onto it a bit? Look at post 69 & 70! They shot an arrow at him and he fell!))

Jacob had nervously shook the entire hovercraft ride to the arena location. He had done nothing the past few days in the training center other then study the past arenas and worry a whole lot in his room.
And now it was here in the arena, and he couldn't have done anything in order prepare him for this. He didn't even get the chance to look for Cynara when the Gong rang through the arena and he stumbled off his plate in confusion. He had somehow made his way to the corn quite a bit of time after everyone else. He narrowly skidded around a fight between Wren and Mason and had to leap over the arm of Ivy that was still spilling blood. She plucked up the first two things he saw: a sack of items and a dagger.
As he was taking off to the nearest pathway, suddenly he felt an extremely sharp pain in his calf, a sickening sound hitting his ears. He screeched, falling immediately in pain to grab his calf. He yanked it out, sending yet another howl out as he stared at the blood covered blade. Then he looked up at the place where the knife came from, growling as he saw the girl whom he had thought looked super sweet.
He stood and began to limp towards her, suddenly throwing the knife back in her direction.

Caleb screeched in pain as an arrow that seemingly came out of nowhere hit him straight through the stomach. He hit the ground, wheezing and clutching his stomach. When he let go for a second, he felt dizzy when he saw the blood. It was all over his shirt and his hands. He managed to look up and noticed that girl...the Career from District 1, coming towards her. Did she look...happy?! His eyes widened in fear and he tried to crawl backwards, but a sharp pain caused him to collapse in the pool of his blood. He sobbed,"No...please..." and then when he coughed, blood came out from him. He was still holding the vial, like it was his lifeline.

He looked for their allies: possibly Dyna, Lil, and Dinn. They needed to get out of the center of this maze and find something that would help them.
Dyna had blood lust written all over her face, she wanted to kill, and Adam could tell who. He couldn't find Lil and Dinn however.
As Mason is resting in the small room waiting for others, he hears a painful scream not too far away. He looked out for any threats outside such as other tributes or even worst; a group of angry tracker jackers. Mason nose finally stopped bleeding and took a step outside with a tight grip on his axe. While moving out slowly, the darkness consumes his vision and the only thing he can notice is the golden light from the Corncopia. He sees shadows pass by and puts his neck back into the small exit room waiting for something to happen.

Once Wren felt like she was far enough away from the Cornucopia and it's bloodbath, she looked over her shoulder into darkness to make sure there was no one sneaking up on her. With that, she knelt down and opened up her sack. Inside, there was a water bottle, a flashlight, some matches, and spoons. She grimaced when she found no water in the bottle, and there was no food. With a sigh, Wren stood up again and slung the sack upon her shoulders again, gripping her sword tight until her knuckles turned white. When again she looked back down where she had come from, she saw the dark outline of a tall and very muscular figure running towards her. She stiffled a gasp and half-turned towards the Tribute, ready to run if she had to or fight if she could. She brought her sword up, knees and elbows bent.

You move into the glass tube that will take you up to the mysterious arena. As you enter, you finally look down at what you are wearing: a thin black jumpsuit that is so light, it might as well not not even be there. The door slides shut and you look above you to what will be your deciding factor. Some of you have been training for this moment your whole lives, while others regret will all their hearts the moment that their names were ever drawn at the reaping. But none of that matters now, because you are finally here, and the platform begins to rise whether or not you are ready for it to.
Arena Description:
Level One:
Your eyes begin to wander the second your head is high enough to look around. The first thing that hits your nose is the smell of metal. A metallic smell that you immediately recognize from the training center. The smell comes from the iron that make up the floor, ceiling, and walls that span in every direction. You continue to look around to see if these walls go anywhere, but sadly, they turn corners towards who knows what horrors.
And then it clicks in your mind... you must be in a maze.
Just as you begin to look for what might be the cornucopia, something catches your eye. A giant cluster of tightly packed tracker jackers move across the middle of the tributes and disappears down another metal corridor. You cant help but see the resemblance of their cluster to what might be a ghost.
You think back to your childhood and the games you had learned about from the old world (before Panem.) And this arena looks a mighty lot like The old arcade game PacMan. The tracker jackers are the annoying little ghosts that follow you around and there are 4 exits on each side of the maze. The exits are where you need to travel to in order to pass the level.
Through the doors of these exits are small rooms with grass floors and walls that lightly glow like the sun. These rooms are not much bigger then half an acre, enough room for one person to happily be, but will it be room enough for five? Once five tributes have entered the room, the doors will abruptly close and lock all five inside. No more, no less. One of these exits are where you will need to escape to in order to pass the level. If you happen to be one of the people that are in here, congrats! You have passed the level! You will continue on in this deadly game...
All around you, you can hear the constant whisper, coming from nowhere, of the words: Get Out...Get out.
The Cornucopia:
The golden cornucopia is the only source of any real color to be seen. It is wide open for anyone to use, but it is in the middle of the circle of tributes. Inside the gleaming cornucopia are these weapons:
1 vial of liquid (If you get this you have to notify me when you use it. The contents will remain secret until then and you are not allowed to decide what it is)
2 bows
2 quiver with 16 arrows
3 swords
5 daggers
1 backpack (empty)
3 bottles of water (full)
2 packs of dried fruit
3 scythe
2 battle axes
10 sacks (including an empty water bottle, spoon, matches, flashlight each)
((Each tribute will be allowed to have no more then three items from the cornucopia to keep it fair. Please post which Items your charrie is going to get from the Cornucopia under the topic name: Cornucopia items. This will help to cause less confusion and drama. But be realistic, please. If your tribute is smaller and weaker, they may only grab one or two items, rather then a career. If you kill someone, you ARE allowed to take their items.))
3...
Your heart pounds as you hear Head Gamemaker Ruby's voice finish the coundown
2...
You get in a ready stance (at least as ready as you will ever be)
1...
The Gong sounds...
AND LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!
May the odds be ever in your favor!
