How are we reading this? Are we just reading through it and then coming back to discuss it, or after so many chapters we come back discuss and then go back to reading?

Hiiii I'm sorry, I was planning on posting yesterday but I didn't get the time to.

ok so this book is pretty short:
Prologue + 30 chapters,
284 pages.

We usually read 5-10 chapters (would you like to go slower or faster?) and then come back and discuss and then go back reading, but honestly feel free to post whenever while you're reading.

If you can't put it down and want to keep going then do so!! we'll be discussing anyway :)

Oh and I'll be starting later today, I'm planning on finishing 2 books before starting this one.. I can't wait!! :D

I hope I will be able to start it tonight but I will only be able to get in the first few chapters probably.

Looks like I didn't get to this one today :(, it's 1 am now and I'm too tired to do anything other than hit the sack, but starting it is going to be the first thing I do tomorrow!!

okay, I'm 5 chapters in so far and it's starting off good :) there's so much info being thrown at us but I'm surprisingly indulging it well and without any confusion. I really like it so far! Interesting world.

Lawrence, (view spoiler)[ He's so cute but I don't think he should be Ari's future husband. Basically I'm not a fan of the whole ''president's-son-has-to-marry-the head commander's-daughter''-thing and Ari doesn't even like him in that way.. she shouldn't be forced to marry someone she doesn't love. Jackson, (view spoiler)[ I don't know what to make of him so far, love how he gets on Ari's nerves though LOL. The only thing we know about him is that he's an Ancient/Alien.. but how has he been blending in, how come no-one has noticed him? Where are his parents? Are they also on Earth with him? Can't wait to hear his story. (hide spoiler)]

I was also unable to start it yesterday, I will be starting it now - I will probably only be able to read the first five chapters though.

It is really good so far. One thing I just don't like about their new world is how everything is guaranteed to someone... like how Lawrence is to be President and Ari is going to be the Commander, and I agree on the whole arranged marriage between Lawrence and Ari- it's just not right! I do like the way Ari and Jackson interact with each other though.

Don't worry Chelsea!! Take your time! I've stopped at chapter 5 too. :)
It's really late where I live now so I'll pick it back up tomorrow morning.

And I agree about things being guaranteed, whatever their parents were known as shouldn't be automatically guaranteeing anyone anything....

I was unable to read yesterday - my family came into town for the 4th of July and we went to a ballgame and I wasn't allowed to bring my phone, and that's where my ebook is, but I hope to get in some reading time today.

I also didn't get time to read this yesterday, I finished 2 other books so now I've only got this on my plate.

I'm going to pick this up now and hopefully get over halfway through :-)!!

I agree, it's a really good book. I'm enjoying it so much so far.

I've read up to chapter 16 now. (dont click the spoilers if you haven't read to that chapter because I'm unsure which chapters between 5-16 the events below happened in)

Op test/Ari in general, (view spoiler)[am I the only one that LOVES how kickass Ari is?! That girl is so tactical, passionate, strong and really strategical. I'm not a big fan of impulsive characters and I'm so glad she is the opposite. (hide spoiler)]

Jackson and Ari, (view spoiler)[ wow, how oblivious can you get? About time someone did something about the tension and their feelings. I was so touched by that conversation in chapter 15, Jackson always healed her ahhh and the kiss? I'm loving the development of their relationship, it isn't rushed its perfectly paced. Ari's dream, (view spoiler)[okay they are seriously creeping me out... Especially the one at the end of chapter 15, bowing to her? Queen? Is she really dreaming or seeing the future or something? (hide spoiler)]

I'm only at the 7th Chapter - I hope to get some more reading done tonight.

that's okay! take your time, it WAS AMAZING.

I just finished it and the last chapters were SO GOOD and action-packed!! SO many shocking revelations...
THE ENDING WAS CRUEL, I can't wait for the next book ahh August! I think the ending is tied to (view spoiler)[The dream? remember the dream where Zeus and them are bowing to Ari? and call her ''My Queen''? I think it's that what she means by he has chosen her. (hide spoiler)]

I can't wait to finish it... I already love it so much, even though I'm not that far into it.

Sorry we were unable to discuss this book much - I've just had a lot of unforeseen circumstances that prohibited my ability to read.
