I am a co-advisor for the Eva Perry Mock Newbery Book Club. A new crowd favorite seems to be What We Found in the Sofa and How it Saved the World by Henry Clark. I also want to continue to send my love for Lincoln's Grave Robbers.

The publish date for Lincoln's Grave Robbers that I have found is 1/1/13. Has anyone more accurate information? That would have been a working holiday!
Thanks Lindsey, I added What We Found in the Sofa and How it Saved the World to our poll. Thanks for the suggestion. I love the Eva Perry Mock Newbery Book Club. When reading a book I can't help but think of their T-shirts, "But is it distinguished."
While reading Flowers in the Sky, I am wondering what age audience this is intended for. I love the story, but not sure about sharing it with "my kids" now.

SLJ shows for 8th grade and up. Looks like this one is definitely on the upper end of Newberry. Might it be more likely looked at by the Printz committee?
Yes, we read Brotherhood. Interesting perspective. It made it to our nominations list, so we'll see how far it gets.
I just finished The Thing about Luck! What a wonderful story!! It certainly won't be the most popular book on the shelf, and the plot is certainly quiet, but I think I may have a new favorite!
