I've been wondering something for a while what if versions of the bible were written by satanists? Just curious

That doesn't make much sense. Obviously, the bible was written by God through man...and it was translated by many different people. But transcribing it would not change the text, and I doubt satanists would be involved anyways...but I suppose it's a valid research point.

What do you mean by "versions of the Bible?"
What do you mean by "versions of the Bible?"
Why would Satanists want a part in translating the Bible and making "versions" with simpler words that more people can understand?

So you read the bible in greek do you?"
Some people do. At least, the New Testament is in Greek. My dad studied Greek, and has a copy of the Greek text. I don't know how to read Greek, but I know how to use a Greek lexicon... It can be very handy when deeply studying a verse.

Hmmmmm.... I think the Greek Orthodox are closer to Catholics. They hold on to many oldschool traditions; such as, burning incense, crossing themselves, priesthood, seeing themselves not as separate churches, but one unit throughout. And they speak in Arabic as that's the common language of most of their followers.

They are, yes. They are the most liturgical of all of them.Pray tell, what denomination would you say you belonged to?

I don't belong to any denomination. I follow Christ. Period.

If so, what denomination is the church you attend?"
When I went to church, they weren't denominational. They were just Christian churches. But as of right now, I don't attend a church. (can't find a good one), so we study, and things as a family.

There is no such thing - to my knowledge - as non-denominational. Because denominational means 'named', essentially.

A denomination would be like "Catholic", or "Jehovah's Witness", or "Lutheran", or "Seventh Day Adventist". Nondenominational just means that you don't follow with denominations.
The problem with denominations is that they follow people. Muslims follow Mohammed, Catholics follow the Pope. Lutherans follow Martin Luther, Mormons follow Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, etc.

Let me google Anglicans. I've never heard of them.

Anglicans are a group within the Church of England, so they follow the crown (the crown is the head of the church of England)
I would dispute that. They used to; know it is more a tradition than a practice. They pretty much just follow Christ...
How, then, about Quakers?
The Anglican/Episcipalian (probably butchering the spelling here) are prettymuch the same thing as the Catholic church, with a few slight differences –– from what I understand.I am label-resistant, so non-denominationalism works just fine for me. Some claim it's like a denomination in itself, but it's really not. Basically, I find it ridiculous to have so many divisions within the Church, which is really one body. Some might seem like crazy cousins, but they're still part of the same Church... Does that make sense?
I cringe when words like "charismatic," "contemporary," and "traditional" start getting thrown around in conversations...

Easily enough differences.
Mainly we are allowed to ignore the Pope and we don't have bishops.
(Why am I saying we???)
Interesting. Makes you wonder why denominations happened. We are to be one body in Jesus. It was His prayer for us to be united,(John 17), and we are when He is the point of belief. A relationship is not a religion. A religion can fragment but a relationship with Jesus is just that. It has no other definition.
The simple answer: We all see the world differently. There are denominations because there are doctrines that people differ on and can't seem to get past.

Funny how two believers can turn their passion and zeal for God against each other.

We humans are such interesting (imperfect) creatures. But He still loves us.

Here is a thought. :) Divided you have difficulty getting the job done but united it becomes an easy task. Now the easiest way to have the church that Jesus started fail is to have a split. But, The Lord turns it to His advantage by reaching more people in their understanding,("all things work togethter for good for those who love the Lord and is call for His purpose" Rom 8:28). Now if this would be the case then we should love our brethern and let the Lord work. The result is Jesus is center and we are united.
