he certainly lived a long and fruitful life~his books are among my favorites

I was very saddened to hear of his death. I had found him to be one of the best and most versatile writers around. It's sad to think there will be no more books by him. But I whole-hearted agree with Joanne statement. R.I.P. Mr. Matheson.

I just saw this. How sad! I'm about 1/3 through with his What Dreams May Come. Wonderful book and very different from anything I've seen before. RIP
