I am so excited! I read all three and I can't wait to see Malec's first date! (damn it, so long till then!)Sooo, I guess spoilers are ok? I'll try to keep them minor just in case.
I actually think of Magnus a bit differently. First, he doesn't really have much friends or close relationships. He lies so much about his age, what's the deal here? He's a very lonely guy to me now. I never saw him this way.
I also thought he was extremely rich, but he spends all his money straight away. Not a bad thing, but he has so much future, so why not do some savings?
He's a wanderer, feels like a freak that noone could love if they saw his true self. After the third story I no longer think he's ok with being a warlock, aka half demon.
I see more darkness in him, the one he created for himself, always running from something in his own head.
I like how we also learn more about other minor to TMI/TID charecters. I now miss Ragnor :( And I feel for Camille, I think knowing how the story of her love affair from the end of "Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale" goes (from TID)I get what made her such a bitch.

:O I know I cannot wait to see it either! (Don't remind me :()
Yes Spoliers are all good :)
I completely agree I feel sorry for him while reading these spin off (that the right term) and what gets me is that he see's so many of his friends die! It's heart breaking! I have to say I am a Scott Woosley fan! I just think for a werewolf he is fantastic :D
I know especially in the Runaway Queen and it describes his house and the fancy clothes and the fact he could afford Servants I was like 'Woah! Easy on the money Magnus'
I haven't finished it yet but as you've said that it's got me curious. I do agree though I read the first 2 books of the TID before starting the TMI series and I got a sense how he doesn't like who he is and being a Warlock. Especially when he broke up with Alec at the end of 'City of Lost Souls' I cried my eyes out when he called himself 'Pet Warlock':(
I was like 'NOOOOOO MAGNUS COOOMMMMMMMEEEEEE BACK!' 3
I really like Camille oddly I can't tell you why and Edmund Herondale I don't know what to think about him.
I miss Ragnor too :(
I totally agree with you! Btw, what's the deal with the werewolves? How could they not be immortal and yet Woolsey is alive in TMI? That's 150 years later...
As far as I knew he isn't alive in TMI as Magnus keeps referring to the little box that belonged to Scott Woosley. I remember the scene where Alec asked if it belonged to Will Herondale.Oh Will 3 I want you to magically come back in TMI
Hmm, may be not. I tried to find it, but the leader of Praetor Lupus in only reffered to as Scott and is blond. May be I got the wrong impression it's Woolsey because of the last name and hair color. It's written that the Scotts run the PL since the 1800's. No name to the current leader though (or at least I didn't find it). Well, I think I just solved this bothersome mystery - it's not the same guy! Today was a good day :D
I was going to say I know Woolsey set it up Praetor Lupin but you could be right as I went on wiki (I know don't always trust the site) but under his character is says 'Immortal' so I'm all curious now :PWhy was today good?
Because I found someone else fangirling over the Bane Chronicles (Magnus all the way!) and because of the solved mystery (or still unsolved? I am confused, I was so sure Maia spoke to Woolsey). Plus my final are over :D
Not a 100% related, but little Magnus, Catarina and Ragnor!!! Cuteness overload!http://cassandraclare.tumblr.com/imag...

OMG! I saw that too! It was adorable!!!!!!!.
I hope the next following book, Charlotte and Henry Branwell will appear in the story a bit, and met James Herondale. I really like Charlotte character. She seems like a strong leader with great personality.
I like it so far. Though you can tell that Clare is not writing it on her own. Some parts don't flow like they did for me in TMI and TID. But overall I am enjoying it.
I was reading The Midnight Heir and in it it's mentioned that Jesse Blackthorn, who is the son on Tatiana Blackthorn, died at the age of 16?? I'm not sure what his age was but when I was looking at the family tree it says that Jesse Blackthorn marries Lucie Herondale. I'm just confused as to how that works.
Cassie said to not trust completely the family tree, I guess that's why. I can't figure it out either, he is supposedly dead in Midnight Heir. We'll have to wait for TLH :)
I agree with you guys about missin Ragnor. When I read about his death in CoG the first time, I was a little upset, but now really - just another minor character that we never even met. Now, however, after reading TBC, I was distraught! It was like "No Ragnor I just met you in TMI, please don't leave. Pleeeeeeeeeeease!" D':And now to cheer us up: Ragnor pics by Cassandra Jean (I swear, that woman is AMAZING :D)

CJ: Baby Magnus and Ragnor playing 3DS??

:D :D :D
*.* I'm inlove! Where did those mortal instruments go? Damn it, Magnus, you summoned Raziel without asking him to bring Ragnor back!Btw, what's the tag that makes pictures show as pics not url? Hope it makes sense :D
To insert images:< img src=""/> (with no space after the < [I added that otherwise you can't see it])
In between the two "" enter your url
In case you don't know, you can click on the (some html is ok) above the comment box to view all options, such as italics , bold , underline , etc. Hope that helps :D

Slightly off topic but I was wondering are your views on 'The Bane Chronicles'??
I'm just sat here reading the third book 'Vampires, Scones and Edmund Herondale' so it got me thinking!
I personally adore it as I well just love Magnus Bane! :D
I found him very mysterious in both the 'Infernal Devices' and 'The Mortal Instruments' so I think it's a nice insight to his life :D
So yeah I'm curious!
