I'm already a Goodreads author. My book was already listed before I even got here! :D

The only trouble I've had with it is they've tried tacking other people's books onto my author page a couple of times. No biggie.

But I have a very public persona without trying to maintain any anonymity. I'm pretty stalkable.

For myself, I'm not so worried about stalking, but about keeping my professional life somewhat separate from my creative writing and my participation in online communities.

I'd say if you write under two names, keep those names separate. That will allow you to feel that you have the most freedom, I think.
