Riya Hey everyone! This is a thread for people to suggest cool games that they think this group should have! Anyone with any ideas at all should suggest and we'll try to have as many fun, awesome games going as we can! And it doesn't have to just be games, if you also have a cool topic (like the Your Bookshelves thread) then we can also make discussions for those!!

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Here is one,

The game is called "Tell me 2 Things", and this is how you play:

Person 1
- Tell me two things that makes your angry?

Person 2
- Attitude
- Sarcasm
- Tell me two things that...?

Yeah, so basically you answer the question asked by the last person, and create your own "tell me two things" question for the next person to answer, in order to continue playing the game.

Riya Hey Taimoor- I think that's a cool idea, but I don't want to create threads and have no one participate, so each suggestion needs one sponsor and then it will be created. (you can sponsor more than one if you think they're all interesting) I'll sponsor this one since it seems pretty awesome!!

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Sure, and thank you. :)

Riya Hey guys I've got a couple ideas if anyone wants them:
1. List of 10- so someone will say a category (like favorite movie) and each person will add one thing to the list until it gets to 10 favorite movies The 10th person gets to decide the new category
2. Disney Elimination- starts off with list of tons of Disney characters and each has ten points, each person can repost the list and take away a point from one character and give it to another, slowly the characters will become eliminated

Sorry if some of these make no sense- I can give better examples if anyone wants!

Abi (abi_gr) How about A-Z Book titles?

So;

A - After Obsession
B - Between

Etc.

Oh, and the author game.
Someone starts off with an author
So say Suzanne Collins Then you use the first letter in their second name, so you could have Carrie Ryan

message 7: by Riya (new)

Riya Since I don't want to have too many games added at a time, I'll add one every week or so- so I'll add the A-Z book titles right now!!! Thanks for the idea Abbie!

message 8: by Riya (new)

Riya I think I'll modify it, so it's just A-Z, that way if we finish book titles we can move on to another category!!

That sounds great! More variety of answers. :)

message 10: by Riya (new)

Riya Awesome- it's been set up and people have already started participating!!!

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Here is another one you may like to use in the future:

Title: Word Chain Challenge

So the first person chooses a random word, and the others keep on adding one word per comment until the word chain is too long to remember or you run out of characters. If the word chain is too long and the next person is unable to add another word, the last person that successfully adds the concluding word to the word chain wins. I hope it makes sense :L I am pretty bad when it comes to explaining...

Here's an example:

Person 1: Winner
Person 2: Winner sucks
Person 3: Winner sucks when... (and so on)

message 12: by Riya (new)

Riya I'm slightly confused. Are the participants trying to make a sentence or something? And I don't understand how to win. Sorry

message 13: by Tex (last edited Jun 28, 2013 02:43PM) (new)

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Oops, my bad! I updated the post^. So eventually the word chain will be too long for other participants to add another because they'll technically run out of "# of characters left" which means nobody can add another word.

message 14: by Riya (new)

Riya Thanks for the idea and the explanation! Just checking, are we making a sentence out of the chain

message 15: by Hiro (new)

Hiro (mythli) Rhyming?

message 16: by Riya (new)

Riya Mythli wrote: "Rhyming?"

What do you mean?

message 17: by Hiro (new)

Hiro (mythli) Like a rhyming game.
If they get stumped they start a new word.

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Riya wrote: "Thanks for the idea and the explanation! Just checking, are we making a sentence out of the chain"

Not necessary. Just even a random adding word out of the blue will help. You can modify the rules to make it easier, if you want.

message 19: by Riya (new)

Riya I think we should do a sentence, that way it ends once th esentence is too long. Just warning you we've got 3 other suggestions right now, so it won't be added for another month or so.

message 20: by Tex (last edited Jun 28, 2013 02:47PM) (new)

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Yes, that would work fine as well. Sorry for such a complicated game suggestion.

message 21: by Riya (new)

Riya Its fine- I'm glad that so many more people are active in the games!!

message 22: by Tex (new)

Tex (Texd) | 166 comments Thanks.. :l

message 23: by Riya (new)

Riya Just posted a new game!

message 24: by Austin (new)

Austin Silcox | 58 comments I think we need to start over on the Author Game!

message 25: by Austin (new)

Austin Silcox | 58 comments I love your Disney Elimination game, Riya!

message 26: by Riya (new)

Riya Awesome! I think I'm gonna make a couple of the Elimination games :D

message 27: by Riya (new)

Riya *Hopefully the Disney Elimination will go well. If it does then I'll make more- like specific books, and a protagonists one, and a female protagonists, male protagonists, sidekicks- the lists go on and on :) If people like the Disney one then I'll probably make a thread for people to suggest new ideas then :D

message 28: by Austin (new)

Austin Silcox | 58 comments Awesome!

message 29: by ryan ⚡︎ (new)

ryan ⚡︎ (ryanbada) How about Quizzes for Books like for example - Testing on the Hunger Games to see if they know the story

message 30: by Riya (new)

Riya That sounds great Ryan!!! I totally got overwhelmed with other stuff and stopped phasing these in, but if you guys want you can always set up some games on your own!! Just go for it :) And Ryan, out of interest do you want us to all brainstorm questions and stuff for the quiz then?
