Survival discussion

Toni: I pull up outside my house. "Here we are." I say waiting for Lewis to get off the bike.

Toni: "As ready as I can ever be." I grip Lewis's hand tightly in mine.

Toni: I nod and walk inside. The horror I was expecting was nothing compared to what I saw. The door was hanging off it's hinges. The glass from the windows broken. I let go of Lewis's hand and run inside. "Mum?!" I yell. "Dad?!" I look in all the rooms. When I can't find any traces of my parents, I open the door to my room. Looking around I see it's not been completely trashed. There was a sheet of paper on my bed. I walk over to it and pick it up. It was a note from my mum.

Toni: I struggled to read the note for the tears that I was crying. "It's worse than I thought it would be Lewis." My voice was shaky as I answered him. "They're not here. They're gone. I don't know where though." I hand him the note. "Mum scribbled this before she left."

Toni,
I love you. Be safe. Don't get yourself into trouble. Find somewhere safe to lie low. Men have come for your dad and I. They say they know you???
I doubt I'll see before this is all over, so I love you. I love you. I love you. Don't give up. There's still food in the cellars. Live in your room if you have to. When the whole damned thing is finished we'll come and find you. DO NOT TRY TO FIND US!

Toni: "Good? How can it be good?" I ask him. I lie down and grab the only teddy I still owned from under my bed. I hug it tight and sob into it.

Toni: "Lewis, the men that took them said they knew me?!" I sobbed. "How can they know me?!" I bury my face into my pillow.

Toni: I gasp. "It must've been them. Of course!" I wiped my eyes and sat up. "They can't still be p*ssed I didn't sleep with them can they?" I ask leaning against Lewis. I didn't feel like I had enough energy to keep myself up.

Toni: I close my eyes and think back to that night. "I still had my work clothes on. I've got a name tag that says Toni. There aren't many Toni's in this town. And my dad's the head of something or other at his work. So he's in the papers quite a lot. It wouldn't be hard to narrow it down. Besides once you've got a name and a town you can find people on the internet too." The tears had stopped for the moment.

Toni: "I don't know." I shake my head. "I want so badly to go after them but... Mum wrote in caps not to go after them. She only does that if she's deadly serious. Which in this case she is." I bury my face into Lewis's shoulder and think for a minute or two. I lift my head up. "I can't go now because I'm an absolute mess. I think we should leave it a day or so. Then see what the situations like." I suggest.

Toni: "Thanks Lewis." I sigh and lie back down again, throwing my arms above my head. "I don't even know where to start for a plan. My head feels like it's just going to explode." I admitted. I'd been strong and had a clear head for too long now, I needed a break.

Toni: "Okay," I nod and put my hand over Lewis's. "Stay here," I say yawning. "Please?" I ask him.

Toni: I curl up next to Lewis. "Thank you." I whisper back.

Toni: I close my eyes. "Love you Lewis." I say before I fall asleep.

((I gotta go. I need to sleep too :D Night))

Toni: I wake up with Lewis's arm around me. Opening my eyes I turn my head to look at him. I smile.

Toni: "Hey," I grin back at Lewis. "Did I sleep for long?" I ask him.

((That sounds good. So this is all happening later then?))

Toni: "Just two hours?" I ask an eyebrow raised. "Ugh. I need more sleep. I've had about 10 hours sleep in the last couple days." I moan.

((Yep that sounds like a good plan!))

Toni: "Nah, I'm alright." I tell Lewis. "Besides I don't want to have nightmares. And I know I will if I sleep for too long." I sigh.

Toni: I sit up and stretch my arms out in front of me. I shudder a little when my elbows and shoulders click.

Toni: "Yeah I'm fine. I just like that sound much." I wrinkle my nose. "And now for my knees," I say and stand up. Sure enough my knees click.

Toni: I grin. "Yeah usually. It's horrid." I tell Lewis. "So do you want a mini tour of what's left of my house?" I ask him.

Toni: "Good because I don't think I could walk through the house on my own." I hold onto Lewis's hand tightly.

Toni: I open my bedroom door and take the house in properly. "Well this is my bedroom obviously," I smile at Lewis.

Toni: I laugh. "Very funny." I say. I walk down the hallway pointing out what doors led to which room.

((What do you want to do?))

Toni: I roll my eyes. "It's too big," I say simply. "Too much empty space."

Toni: "That I can fix. Wait here." I grinned and pecked him on the cheek. I walked back into my room and turn my docking station on full blast. Little Talks by Of Monsters And Men blared out of it. I walked out of my room and closed the door. "That sounds a bit more like normal." I say taking Lewis's hand again.

Toni: I grinned. "Thanks it's one of my favourite songs." My house was starting to sound more like my home again. I just wished it felt more like it too.

Toni: "You're right." I sigh. I drag him into the dining room and sit down at the table. "So what's the plan then?" I ask Lewis.

Toni: I screw up my face and try to remember them. I get a vague image of them in my mind. I jump up from the table and walk over to the easel Mum always kept setup in case I ever decided to draw again. I grab the pencil and start sketching the men. I step back when I'm done. "That's all I can remember about them." I tell Lewis.

Toni: I shrug. "That's really bad but that's beside the point." I stare hard at the drawing. I turn my head sideways and squint my eyes. I pick up the pencil again and add a beard and moustache to the man at the front. "Why do I recognise him now?" I ask myself.

Toni: I laugh slightly and sit on the table continuing to stare at the drawing. "Where am I likely to see people like him?" I think outloud. "Too old to go to a high school party. Work maybe? Tattoo parlour, probably. I can't of anywhere else I would go that I see and talk to people I wouldn't usually."

Toni: "At the restaurant round the corner from school." I said automatically. I close my eyes and lie back on the table. "That's it!" I say sitting back up.

Toni: "There were a couple guys the night before. I wasn't supposed to be working because it wasn't my shift, but there was these shoes I really wanted so I was working overtime to pay for them... Anyway one of the guys pinched my butt when I walked by. I ignored as it happened sometimes when guys got too drunk to function. Then they called me over so I went over. Then the same guy told me that if I showed him where the backrooms where he'd give me a nice tip and made to feel me. So I slapped him and told him where he could stick his effin tip. I got sent home." I tell Lewis. "The next day I went into work and my boss was fuming. The guy had come in to complain about the hand print I'd left on his face. He must've asked about me and that's how he knew where to find me. I can't believe I never realised it before."

Toni: "As sweet as that is, don't bother. It's never bothered me before, why should it bother me now? They're just being stupid. Honestly though, what girl likes having her butt pinched?" I ask him trying to contain giggles. "Any guy that thinks that girls do actually like that need to get their heads out their a$$."

Toni: "Yeah I know." I sighed. "I don't even know anything about them. How are we supposed to find them from that?"

Toni: I grin. "Yeah I think they did. It was only a couple of days ago so the receipts won't have been binned. That's assuming it's open. Which it probably won't be but..." I dig around in the kitchen drawer and find what I need. "I have a key." I hold it up.

Toni: "I'm kinda worried about the fact you can hack into a computer system." I tease and stand up. "Now's as good a time as any." I tell him. "Gimme a couple minutes max. I want to go change." I run up the stairs and throw the contents of my wardrobe around my room.

Toni: I come back down the stairs about 5 minutes later. My clothes had been changed, my hair refreshed and my make up applied. I was ready to kick ass if it came to it. I had on my skinny jeans and white tee, my knee high black leather heeled boots and black leather jacket. "Ready?" I ask Lewis.

Toni: I couldn't stop the grin that spread across my face. "I'm ready yes. I just asked you if you were ready." I laughed.

Toni: I walked over to Lewis and took his hand. I kissed him and dragged him outside. "Are we walking or taking the bike?" I ask him.

Toni: I laughed. "Let's walk. It's not far from here." I tell him.

Toni: I start walking in the direction of the restaurant, my boots clicking against the ground. I smiled at how normal everything seemed.

Toni: I laugh and drag Lewis upstairs into my room. I flop onto my bed and reach down under it. I pull out my laptop and switch it on. I log on and hand it to him. "There you go."

Toni: I look at the information on the screen. It all made no sense to me so I stopped looking. "A plan yeah..." I look at Lewis expectantly.
