Hi All, I have been off the Goodreads habit for a while now due to a full schedule in grad school, but I'm wanting to get back involved, particularly with this group. I am looking for some inspiration/information regarding the subject of transformation. If any of you have any favorite stories regarding this subject or know where I can find a list or other resource, I would really appreciate it. I am choosing this subject as the center of my thesis project and I'm really excited about it! Any help would be appreciated! Cheers, Kim

What kind of transformation are you wanting to know about?Internal transformation (such as shaman) or external (the body changes)?
Hi Serena, thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, I got dragged down by the MFA undertow. my apologies. It's over now so I can breathe and get back to things I enjoy, one of them being Goodreads! I was and still am dealing with issues of physical transformation, which might or might not include the subject of internal transformation. Thanks for your interest!
Hi, Kim, Jack Zipes has a chapter called "Magical Transformations" in his *The Great Fairy Tale Tradition*. If you haven't already, you might also check out Davidson and Chaudhri's *A Companion to the Fairy Tale* (2003, D.S. Brewer).
Thanks, Jeri and Michael! I'll check out your suggestions. Sorry, I need to find more time to check in here. I really appreciate your input!
This sounds like a good one :) Ovid The Metamorphoses though if this is for a thesis project, you might already know it.
