I agreed. I didn't enjoy this book at all. It was very predictable and the cheesy lines made me cringe.
I have come to find that several books, once the author moves from indie to a publishing company and the publishing company draws out the release to build hype that it more often than not turns into a negative. I think that tis is part of the problem. I also think that this book seemed watered down and lacked the suspense of the 1st two books. It was a let down when I finally got to read it. It was actually kind of boring IMO.
Gosh, I thought I was alone. I liked it but didn't love it like I thought I would. The ONLY part I loved was when they were on the plane and decided the baby's name. I only gave it 4 stars b/c I did love the series as a whole.
I still hate the cover. THAT model is not gorgeous enough.

The series is not over. She is doing at least one more book. After this total let down I am still on the fence about reading it.
LMFAO I thought the same things when I picked up Bared to You by Sylvia Day...it was a new city but still a "captain" of industry with a troubled childhood who all have the need, want and desire a helpless female. Don't get me wrong, I love Alpha Males but I find it kinda odd that one person has plagiarized a book when all these stories are a bit alike.Didn't all harlequin novels have a doctor and a nurse who fell in love? Oh right those were the old harlequins.
You also forgot Remington Tate from real lolI actually quite liked Ethan.
Not has good as others you have mentioned but I don't think he's that bad (in my opinion)
Xx
I don't agree though that Prof. G. Emerson is on this list as I take a second look. The only similarity that I see anyway, is that yeah he's another alpha male with money but he is a Professor. Again, just my opinion.
Sorry but I do NOT agree with you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and in MY mind he was sexy as hell. His accent and swagger just put him over the top for ME. The hot sex w/ dirty talk that did not include pain was right up my ally. I don't need a rich bullish male, who acts like an ass all the time. Cut me down for MY opinion if you want but he gave her what she wanted and needed.

This book was missing a lot, not so much one big thing just a lot of little things. I will read the next book just b/c it is not possible for me to read 3 and not the last one. The cover is awful!! She is not one bit attractive in my opinion and in the back of my head I was turned off to read it just for that but again read 2 had to keep going, hopeful about #4

You didn't say ANYTHING! What was missing?
ALL of the loose end were tied up. We know what happened to him, he just hasn't told her yet.
OK OK OK, let's put a few things right, in my opinion for what it's worth. Chrissies list of leading men, is a list to be congratulated, what a party of Cool Guys to run away with, certainly to party with and all of whom have definitely made me feel a little HOT, EXCITED, CRAZY AND TOTALLY IN LOVE and Mr Ethan Blackstone can be on that list too, however, I think what Chrissie is trying to say is that Ethan, although a very good looking man, his actual character lacks depth, the writer has not told us enough about him so when the author trys to portray the image of a controlling dominating lover, it comes across a little weak and I don't believe him. Yes he loves her but its all too sickly and lets face it girls we all love a BAD BOY!!Finally, really there's a 4th book. I will try to read it. Not sure I can cope with 80% of more I love you's, with the only action happening at the 81% of the book, only to last till 90% then back to I Love you's at the end.
Don't get me wrong I love a romance with a great leading male and the fairy tale ending, but it felt like the ending most of way through.

Yes yes yes James (Mr. Cavendish) :)must be added to this list absolutely,
LOL I didn't even finish the book... My sister and I were really excited over it and the other day she told me 'this is not what I expected'.. and I had to remind myself that I read the beginning.. got annoyed/pissed off at the dragging on scenes on whether the h is pregs or not..found out she was indeed preggers and skipped to finding out her dad died.. skipped to the end..and WTF ending..and wished I had a paperback version of this book to be able to throw it at the wall..This was really just a load of pompous b/s >.<

For clarifying this for me!! THIS is exactly the POINT i was TRYING to MAKE!!!
EVERYONE is entitled to THERE opinion and this was MINE!!
Ethan Blackstone good looking guy but not MY cup of ENGLISH TEA!!
Some male characters suit the role of being an ARSE and some DO NOT!!
Ethan Blackstone in MY opinion had NO swagger!!
BUT this is just MY opinion which i'm entitled to!!
Thanks again for Lucy for clarifying x
ya at least Ethan didn't run over hills hearing about the baby like Christian Grey. He accepted the baby with love :) the only thing i hate in the book is the cover!
What has Christian Grey got to do with this topic?Ethan basically in my opinion was a little lack lustre and accepting a baby does not make him a man to go crazy over. He is trying to act like a deep dark and a dangerous Dom with sex appeal and swagger, in my opinion, he's a wanna be bad boy. Sorry!
Christian and Ethan are two TOTALLY different characters anyway! Ethan dont have a deep DARK background! Or did he? Must of missed that part when I was skipping through to the hopefully good part which was just more love you, no I love you, no I love you more oh no no bo I love YOU!! OH GOOOOD! OK we get it already.
Christian had a F****d up child hood so of course he's gonna freak out!
But hey its just MY opinion!!
as far as i rememeber, Ethan had a dark side too. he encountered nightmares - watching children being killed in Afghanistan..although that remained a mystery. the author never mentioned the cure of his nightmares.. :/

I stated my opinion without getting shouty and stomping my feet like a child. You posted a statement that is now open for discussion. If that was not your intention then this was the wrong place to leave a comment.
(If you are going to use shouty capitals, make sure that they are used correctly.)
What dark side? Are you trying to say that every man that has been to Afghanistan comes home a BDSM loving dom!!
I dont think so!
This is why the author needed to give us more information so we could understand his character as Lucy has already pointed out.
Incidentally, please don't get your knickers in a twist over shouty capitals this is just a discussion between fellow readers and everybody's views and comments are respected by me.

lol...i am just wondering...what are we arguing for? a bunch for fictitious guys who don't exist in real world :P

Jake Wethers -The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle Caleb - Captive in the Dark by CJ Roberts
All great reads x
If you haven't read the entire Blackstone series, don't judge. He is very sweet and loving!!! Keep reading!
I enjoyed this series and Blackstone, thought the cover of the third book sucked and could of been thought of differently.
@Chrissie a little help :DKellan Kyle - Thoughtless/Effortless/Reckless
Caleb aka James Cole - Captive in the Dark
Travis Maddox - Beautiful disaster
Christian Grey - Fifty Shades
Gideon Cross - Crossfire
Gabriel Emerson - Inferno/Rapture
Dorian Skotos - The Dark Prince (Dark Light Series, 2)
Gavin (collide) - Collide
Trace Montgomery - beautiful Damage
Andrew Parrish - Edge of Never
River Wilde - Connected
Will Montgomery - Play With Me (With Me in Seattle3)
Leo Nash - ?
Ice Rykhard - ?
Shock - ?
Niol Lapen - ?
i hate the cover too.. shes not what i imagine on the book...
Leo Nash- rock with meNicole Lapan- midnight masters
Ice Rykard - possess me at midnight
Shock- has yet to have his own book, but he is in all the "Doomsday Brethren" series by Shayla Black, Ice Rykard "possess me at midnight" is one of those books the series. It is a fantastic read.
Hope that helps xx

totally agree I loved the series it was great can't wait for book four.
Loved the series....not sure a book 4 is really necessary, though. As much as I loved Ethan, I'm ready for another hero.
Since we are on this topic of heros ....does anyone know what book "Colton Donavan" is from? I read it on a list today and it has been bugging me all day!
