Tessa (tessanewberry) What book(s) got you started on reading? How old were you? Talking about the great beginning to your love for reading!!

message 2: by Harley (new)

Harley I'd have to say for me it was probably the American Girl books, which was about 5th grade so i would have been 10 at the time.

Tessa (tessanewberry) No way? I never read them! I watched Kit's movie and I would have loved to have read hers. Which one was your favorite?

message 4: by Harley (new)

Harley I loved those books and the movies. My favorite would mostly likely be Molly. I liked Kit she was one of my favorites along with Josefina.

message 5: by Amy (new)

Amy ok, this is a good one. I read as a young adult but stopped in my teens and never felt reading did anything for me. I just recently got hooked on books about 3 years ago, and what did it to me....Twilight! Yes, I watched the first movie and had to know what happened next so I read New Moon. I've been hooked on books ever since. I read at least 200 books a year. Go figure.

Twilight got me into reading too :)

Tessa (tessanewberry) Amy: That's crazy! I know Twilight got a lot of people started. How good it must feel to be that author and know you inspired people to read, you know? Wow, 200 books/year!? Jealous. My goal this year is 150 books, but I started late so I'm slightly behind.

Sapir | 21 comments I've always been the reading type. I can't remember a time when I was not reading... Actually I used to read much, much more when I was a little kid. I used to read about 2 books a day. Now I just don't have time to do that anymore. =\
There isn't a book that started it all. Reading has always been a big part of my life.
