      Hi Carrie,
I've missed you...lol.
Yeah - I'm thinking I have a herculean task in walking the "redemption" balance for this dude. Maybe I should take a clue from Survivor (the TV show) and send him to "redemption island" for a few months. Haha.
Seriously though, there will be one "unforeseen" element about Saber that may surprise folks at some point -- that may help, but he is what he is (bad to the bone)...and all that has to be incorporated. Once again, I say a lot; thus, managing to say nothing. Hehehe
Hope you're having a great summer so far :-)

Tessa! I've missed you too. :) yes I noticed you said a lot without revealing much (you're quite good at that...LOL) can you at least tell me if I will get a healthy dose of Kagen in the next book? You know I love him most :)

So, I had to go back and look at the outline (LOL), and it doesn't appear as if Kagen plays a very prominent roll in book five -- partly b/c we're following a new character (Saber) who doesn't have "family ties" to the Silivasis. So the "brotherly love" is definitely NOT there -- to put it mildly. LOL (Kagen will be a crucial character/plot mover at the end, however...nuff said, hehehe).
One character that does show up throughout will be our beloved, mild (NOT!) Ramsey Olaru...

      Hey, Audi!
Please share the time machine with me -- that way I can jump back anytime I need to in order to refresh my memory on the series...lol. Boy, would that make writing faster -- the more books I add to the series, the more time I spend on "stop, search, and go" :-) :-) :-)

I will be happy to share with you when I invent one!! LOL
Do what I do, I re-read all the books each time you release a new one. You know a friend of mine actually has a cork board with hundreds of notes on it about certain details, events, characters and so on she says it works wonders for her when writing her books, just a thought... who knows might help!?!

That is a great idea, Audi (although I think my cork board would have to be the size of a library...lol). I currently have a "companion manual" with tons of info in it, and it's pushing 100 pages! Yikes! :-0 But, inevitably, as the series goes forward, there are those details that I have to read...and reread. Honestly, when I try to write a new scene, I leave huge holes in the page (either blanks, highlighted spaces, or red x's -- so I can go back and look things up without losing momentum.)
I think some of my readers keep it straighter in their heads than I do...lol :-) (Maybe I should have a dial-a-fan lifeline thing set up...hehehe... "Hey, Audi, it's Tessa -- How tall is Marquis again? And where are Braden's parents? Oh yeah, how old is Nikolai now?" Sheesh..." :-) :-) :-)

Tessa that's a great idea!! I'll be a life line!!! (Although if you ask me about Kagen I might say he already has his Destiny and her name is Carrie LOL) I've re-read the series about 6 times now...LOL!! I'm quite shameless about hounding my friends to read your books..once they meet them, they are hooked!!

That's actually a good idea, Carrie -- I'm getting ready to go on a ten day vacation; maybe I should re-read all five books, so that when I get home, I can hit the ground running :-)
Thanks for all the free publicity, BTW!!!! :-)

My friend says her cork board is 5' x 4' and covers most of one wall....she says it's so helpful because all she has to do is look up to verify info on characters and events. Time savers she says are an authors best friend..lol

Time savers she says are an authors best friend..lolI would love to be a lifeline, not only have I read and reread all the books I also got my hubby into them as well....he zipped through the first 4 in about 5 days and keeps asking when the next one is coming...LOL
My response is of course it will be out when it gets out....so impatient! LOL

Thanks for getting your husband hooked, Audi :-)
I love it when men get into the series; I think they expect a traditional "romance" and are surprised by all the action and the strength of the male characters. They seem to enjoy it as much as women -- maybe for different reasons??? :-)
As for the lifeline thing, it gave me a great idea: Not sure when I'll do it, but I'm going to post a trivia "quiz" or questionnaire for my AVID readers online and attach it to a free gift -- just not sure what the gift will be for the person who gets the most correct answers in the shortest time.
Should be fun! :-)

Yes I agree that most men are thinking froo-froo books. He has actually been pleasantly surprised by the books I have had him reading. (I had to get him started on several other series to keep him occupied) After finishing your series he was actually very surprised that that was what I was reading, he himself was expecting a more "love story" theme. He loves the action and grittiness of your stories. Now if he will just stop trying to talk like them I will be set!!! LOL

I suck at "tests" though my mind always goes blank when put on the spot like that.....and with a time limit, wow you're killing me!! LOL I will give it a go though! :)

      Hey Audi,
Sorry for the delay -- just got back from vacation. That is SO funny, your husband trying to talk like the vamps. Wish I could be a fly on the wall... :-)
