I haven't read Battle Royale, and I don't plan to, but I have read The Hunger Games and I'm wondering what you guys think of the two different books? I've heard that they are very similar plot-wise and I want to know how. I've seen the movie for Battle Royale and based on what I know, the book is going to be just as violent, which I don't want to read.

So for this Book Battle, we'll be comparing The Hunger Games and Battle Royale! Let me know what you think down below in the comments!

It must've been split up into volumes, since it's a massive book, but the one with the red cover is the completed one. :-)

Ok. If I have a lull at some point I may go check it out. Depends on how long it is... LOL!

Priscilla Keeler (priscillakeeler) | 3 comments Well, Battle Royale has been out longer, and HG does have a very similar premise. But they do have very distinct differences. But I would say they are both equally gruesome. However, HG is more depressing. I loved HG and would suggest it to others but I would say to borrow a copy because it is too sad to re-read. Just too much death. But it was a great series. BR also sad but I didn't get to know the characters as well so the deaths didn't hit me so hard. BR the movie used to be on Netflix.
