I'm almost done with the book and it's an"okay" book for me. There's a lot of cussings in the book that bothered me a bit but I guess it's cause Nick & Norah are dealing with a lot of things and I guess they're mad.. And where are the parents & family in the story?

I just finished and idk, it was an okay read. The characters sounded the same especially Nick & Norah. I couldn't tell them apart. I really like the songs that Nick wrote, though. I think it could have been better. What do you think?

(view spoiler)[the story is like a train wreck. Were the authors drunk when they wrote this? :\ Norahs always going about how she's smart and all but her attitude conveys the opposite. She doesn't see! To give a damn about anything. (hide spoiler)]

Detested this book. UGH! I only managed to complete it so I could submit it to the challenge :'(

I hate this too! D: It's taking me longer to finish because when I start reading, I just tend to put it down D:

I guess this really bothered me while I was reading. It was just so natural for them to use the f word every time they speak!

There were parts that I liked but mostly it wasn't something I enjoyed.

I plan on joining this! Probably a little late though, since I'll be away when we're meant to start :)

I am going to be starting this a day early hope that is ok. I finished my other book yesterday and this is next on my list to read.

Up to chapter 6: (view spoiler)[ Not enjoying this at the moment. I haven't connected with any of the characters and I am not loving the writing. The F- word is used constantly in this book. The occasional swearing in books doesn't bother me this book has a swear word in nearly ever other sentence sometimes it is used multiple times within the same sentences. I feel that the swearing is really unnecessary and is being overused by the authors. (hide spoiler)]

I really am not enjoying this story there is far too much swearing in it for my liking. I also don't really like the characters and I find myself skipping over parts of it as I find the story so boring. I am glad this story is so short as I don't think I would carry on with it if it was any longer.

Oh, really? I can understand the swearing thing, that's bothering me too, it's way over the top. But I'm liking Nick and Norah!
Up to chapter 5 (view spoiler)[ Tris sounds absolutely awful, but it's interesting seeing her from Nicks point of view. It's things like that that make me really enjoy books with multiple povs! I hope we get to see more of the more minor characters, like the rest of the band. I think they could be cool if they're developed in the right way (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[ I really did not enjoy this book. I didn't like the characters and I didn't really see any point to the story. I didn't think that the relationship between Nick and Norah was very believable. I really did not like all the swearing and felt that it was extremely overused. The story was short but I felt that it dragged and I found it incredibly boring. I found myself skipping over parts and throughout the book I just wanted it to be over as I did not enjoy it at all. Up to chapter 10 (view spoiler)[ I don't think I'm connecting with the characters at all... We're being told stuff about them, but that doesn't actually help me get to know them. I like to have characters I'd recognise if they walked in the room, and these two are really not those kinds of characters (hide spoiler)]

Up to chapter 15 (view spoiler)[ The more I read of this, the more I don't want to read it. That's why it's taking me so long! Everything Norah does makes me mad. She can't say no to Tal, when we're finding out she should have dumped him years ago. She has the weirdest relationship with Tris. She can't talk to Nick about anything. She's too obsessed with sex, never with actual feelings. Nick isn't as bad, he just can't understand women. Plus he has really great friends. Ugh, I'm so mad, I was so enjoying this at the beginning! Finally finished! (view spoiler)[ That was actually a really sweet ending? I'm in love with that last line. Incredibly predictable, of course, but it was still sweet. I like that it was left open, so we don't know if the relationship goes anywhere, and I really like that they didn't have sex. They were stupidly close, but it means there's more to come for them, you know? I'm happier than I expected to be with that! (hide spoiler)]

Starting today. I keep on hearing it's not good. ;( I hope it's good.

Ch 3 so far I'm liking it. I thing the cuss words are necessary some teens definitely talk like that. The author is trying to make the story believable.

Ch 11 finally nick gets some sense.. (view spoiler)[ Norah is making me sad, she wants nick but knows nick is still into tris. Nick makes me mad because he is so "in love" with someone that doesn't want him. Tris let nick go because she wants him to be happy. Open your eyes nick!! (hide spoiler)]

Pg 132 "trust is an essential ingredient to love". I just love that quote. It is so true!!

Pg 154. I love Norah's father!!

finished... I liked the story enough, I wasn't blown away by it but it sure had some nice moments... (view spoiler)[ I liked the time Nick and Norah spent like after 3 am, walking to a lot places, their little dance in the rain, the hotel escapade, the walking back to the car, how nick did not know who Norah's father is, and finally Norah braking the law for Nick... Chapter One; A strong start, I like books that leave you hanging on the storyline, wanting to read more.

And yeah, there's so much swearing... It is trying to be realistic, but I think it's going a bit over the top

I always want to love any book that David Levithan is involved in, but they somehow keep disappointing me. I'm on chapter 10 and whereas this book is okay, it's not as good as it started.
