YA Monthly Challenge discussion

How much do you allow yourself to spend on books each month/week? Do you have any tips and tricks to getting great deals? Do you use library books or do you always buy your books?

Sometimes I buy books and sometimes I use the library I use the library more in the summer because I read more then. I always buy books at my schools book fair!

Me too! I pretty much always get books from the library, then if I like them I'll buy them to reread. If it's the next book in a series I love though, obviously I'll just buy it ;)

I'm in middle school and I am still so thankful that they still have them I hope they do in high school too!

My high school didn't, but yours might :) My library is amazing because they're a part of a big network. I can place a hold on a book that's only available in a town an hour or two from me, and they'll ship the book to me for free! I still run into books that aren't available at any of the libraries though. :( Then I just have to decide if it's worth it to buy the book.

I feel ya Leigh ha. Some months are better than others. I've spent $15 in the past two days and I have 6 other books in mind (that aren't avaliable in my library) but I have to pace myself! haha
