May sure got here pretty quick, didn't it? Post your Monster Men thoughts here.

May not only got here quick, it (and June) zipped by quickly.
I feel bad about being one of the folks pushing for ERB's The Monster Men and then not posting anything. I did re-read it. I did enjoy it, though it wasn't quite as good as I remembered it. Interesting concept, good pulp era type story, with all the high points and flaws that that implies. Race stereoptypes got old fairly soon, and Bulan is not that memorable a character. Still, I still like the story, and place it up on the ERB list, not as high as The Moon Maid or The Land that Time Forgot or Tarzan of the Apes etc., but higher on my list than some of the latter Tarzans and some of the Venus books (which I never got into as much as some of his other stuff, not sure why).
I'd still like to give another ERB book a try latter in the year.
