Hi Tony, thanks for the post. I'm really keen to hear what authors talk about in terms of their own personal challenges and welcome you to the group.

Please share with us the type of stuff you are involved with so that we keep information within this platform.

Dinah Jefferies | 6 comments Hi. I started exploring GoodReads yesterday and have learnt something but need to learn more. I'm particularly interested in building an online platform, as my publisher Penguin UK says it's a really good thing for a debut novelist to be doing, and it seems enjoyable too. Hope to learn and exchange ideas here.

Tony, thanks. I've had a look. My book isn't being published until June 2014, so do you think it's too early to join the Goodreads Author programme?

You are right - you need at least one book published but I would recommend joining some Goodreads groups appropriate to your genre and seeing what works for other authors.

Okay, thanks for that Tony.

Marc Horn (marchorn) | 1 comments Interesting post. I found the 'Author App' especially useful. I can understand why you say you should only put the FB link to your page in the actual book, but don't you think advertising the page by other means such as Twitter might be beneficial? My thinking is that people might go to the page and become interested in the book.
I've liked your page.
All the best,
Marc
