Book Haven discussion

I have a question about series I am a picky reader - there I said it and I rarely read series in order or in their entirety (the two exceptions in "genre fiction" being Gabriella Pierce's 666 Park Avenue & Lara Parker's Dark Shadows books) but now I want to read a Robin Cook novel - Intervention, which is apparently part of a series. I would just read it and get on with life, but.... what if I really, really, really like the book (pretty much a prerequisite to continuing to read a series) and decide to read others, none of which interest me at the moment? I know there are some series you absolutely have to read in order, like Stefani Pintoff's Detective Simon Zeile books - which I highly recommend - is this one of them? Could I potentially regret reading Intervention?

Hello Aless -- I think I've read only 1 Robin Cook novel(can't recall title) but I looked up Intervention and it is 9th in a series. I read the blurb of the book on his website and it looks like you should read them in order b/c there are sequential changes in the characters' lives. Here's a link that may help you :

Yes Liz, there are 10 books in the series link I provided. And there is another series, Marissa Blumenthal, that has 2 books.
