"Spiders' webs only have to be large enough to catch flies." (page 73)I really loved this quote so I thought I should share. :)
I thought I'd include some that jumped out at me :)
"It wasn't the kind of rain you could go out in-- it was the other kind, the kind that threw itself down from the sky and splashed where it landed. It was rain that meant business, and currently its business was turning the garden into a muddy, wet soup." ~pg. 6
"Its voice sounded like the voice at the back of Coraline's head, the voice she thought words in, but a man's voice, not a girl's." ~pg. 35
"'We could be rare specimens of an exotic breed of African dancing elephants,' said the cat. 'But we're not. At least,' it added calmly, after darting a brief look at Coraline, 'I'm not.'" ~pg. 36
"'Now you people have names. That's because you don't know who you are. We know who we are, so we don't need names.'" ~pg. 37
"'When you're scared but you still do it anyway, that's brave.'" ~pg. 59
"And, after all, it is always easier to be afraid of something you cannot see." ~pg. 95
"'You don't really understand, do you?' she said. 'I don't want everything I want. Nobody does. Not really. What kind of fun would it be if I just got everything I ever wanted? Just like that, and it didn't mean anything. What then?'" ~pg. 119
"'There's a but, isn't there?' said Coraline. 'I can feel it. Like a rain cloud.'" ~pg. 144
